Well, I think that basically ends the Cardinals' chances for the playoff (5 games back now)
Shoutout to this team this year:
They exceeded all expectations based on where everyone had them this season
Players made major strides, which is going to be huge for the future, and they competed EVERY NIGHT
So excited to compete for a playoff series next year and get back to where we are used to seeing this organization
Go CARDINALS
Never forgot what David Freese did 15 years ago today
🚨 WORLD SERIES HISTORY
The Tampa Bay Rays are just the FOURTH team in World Series history to come back in extra innings to avoid elimination.
The previous three ALL went on to win the World Series:
1912 Red Sox - World Series Champions
1986 Mets - World Series Champions
2011 Cardinals - World Series Champions
2026 Rays - TBD 👀
Imagine waiting a decade for standing room only
🚨 BREAKING:
Two brothers who paid $1,000 EACH for Milwaukee Brewers "Timeless Tickets" over a decade ago are now accusing the team of NOT honoring its original promise.
Back in 2014, the Brewers sold tickets that never expired and could be redeemed for any future home game, including the World Series.
The brothers held onto their tickets for over a DECADE, waiting for Milwaukee to reach the World Series.
Now that the moment has finally arrived, they say the Brewers are only offering terrace-level seats or standing-room-only tickets instead of the best available seats they believed were promised.
To make matters worse, the brothers say the tickets being offered are worth LESS than the $1,000 they originally paid.
WILD.
Can we all agree the Cardinals should do something like this
THIS IS ONE OF THE COOLEST STORIES IN SPORTS 🤯
Back in 2014, the Milwaukee Brewers offered fans the opportunity to purchase a $1,000 "Timeless Ticket" that could be redeemed for ANY future home game, including the WORLD SERIES.
The tickets NEVER expired.
Only 1,000 were offered, and each came as a personalized brass ticket that fans could keep forever.
Now, more than a DECADE later, the Brewers are headed to the World Series for the first time since 1982.
The Brewers are honoring those tickets, allowing fans to redeem them for World Series games this year.
Shoutout to the Brewers ❤️
What I think of every time I see “Clayton Kershaw and Postseason” together
