Danielle Smith... Who cited the Separatist APP in 2022 as her "or else" for Canada... Claims that separatism didn't start until April of 2025... And that folks that believe that kids are being secretly transitioned are her real base. So Dani hasn't hung up her tinfoil hat.

“The people who got me elected weren’t separatists,” laughs Dani nervously. “They were anti-vaxxers and people obsessed with trans kids and rabidly opposed to diversity, equity and inclusion.” Smith admits she shares those “values.” That’s not the flex she thinks it is. 🙄

We desperately need beds in AB. We don't need our premier trying to fool us that we have them. If we could even get back to the bed number we had in 2000 it would be a massive improvement. GoA: set a goal and then get it done!
Hey Alberta: is this incompetence or a full on intentional lie? 9003 Acute Care Spaces is NOWHERE near a record number for our prov In the late 1980s we had 17,790 acute care spaces in hospitals (~12,000 acute care beds, +LTC beds) 1988: 7.4 beds/1000 2026: 1.5 beds/1000 1/2

“It cost us probably at the end of the day about $200 million in tax payer money to do this. That would’ve hired teachers, doctors, nurses, 7500 EAs on five year contracts for example. The feeling I got from Albertans crossing every corner of the province, from the Peace Country down to the US border, is people were saying why are we going through this?” rivercountry.fm/2026/10/22/n…

This is a great article. I know and have worked with all the authors. Great people and tell it like it is. Immigrants aren't the problem for h/c. In fact they are the ones contributing to making it better.
Two Alberta doctors and an Alberta lawyer break down just how stupid Premier Smith's idea is tax newcomers for social services. Just for reference - in Calgary immigrants comprise 7 of 10 nurse aides, orderlies and patient attendants. @HealthyDebate healthydebate.ca/2026/10/abo…

No rest for weary democrats in Alberta this week. Next up: pushing back against gerrymandering. Here's my latest on what it is, why we should care, and what we can do about it. drjaredwesley.substack.com/p…

The UCP’s new flag ban rules are out and they’re really messed up. Indigenous flags = 14 days max Pride flag = not allowed Sports teams = always allowed We’re hearing teachers have plans…but wow, we need an inclusive gov’t in Alberta. #ableg #cdnpoli

Can Danielle Smith please point to where Justin Trudeau attempted to destroy the fossil-fuel industry in Alberta?

1. Nope. Covid-era in Ab. 2. Dunno why other reporters comply. 3. Just doing my job. 4. Reporters can police themselves. If other reporters think I am being disrespectful by pushing back against politicians filibustering questions, they can tell me. They don't need the govt to.

Bob Fife on Danielle Smith telling separatists in the UCP to find another home: "Why didn't she say that at the beginning? This is somebody who has fed them, nurtured them and accommodated them, and now they're coming for her."

A reminder that the law initially said two questions asking essentially the same thing could not be asked within five years. Then the Premier changed the legislation to get her preferred question about separating. She does that for separatists.
Danielle Smith throws Forever Canada under the bus, blaming them for the referendum: "If somebody doesn't want to put a vote forward, then they shouldn't start a petition campaign. If they're going to do that, then they have to understand that there are consequences to it."

Coming out of the referendum and Danielle Smith somehow floor crossing inside of her own party… The NDP are re-upping calls for a public inquiry into the “CorruptCare” scandal. #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli

Albertans aren’t fooled — Canadians aren’t fooled. The $200M separation vote is the fault of Danielle Smith and the UCP. She changed the laws to ensure a referendum, she’s fighting First Nations in court, she wrote the question & signed the order. #ableg #cdnpoli

“Scapegoating non-permanent residents is not going to lower the cost of living. That’s not going to fix our classrooms. They keep essential services open. In many cases, they are frontline workers. And now they’re being treated as disposable.” Alberta welcomed migrant workers. Now, it wants to restrict their rights (via the Guardian) theguardian.com/world/2026/o…

I will die on this hill: The government is not the boss of reporters. The "question limit" is a COVID hangover. If politicians don't want reporters repeating questions after the "limit" they imposed to avoid pushback, they should answer them the first time.

She's always interrupting and going over her question limit. Rude.
