At the Transportation Research Board Conference yesterday, I represented the state DOTs in a session about roadway safety and had the chance to share a little Utah’s safety journey. It’s always a pleasure to learn from new colleagues and catch up with old friends like @Pollytrott
Recently we lost a member of Team UDOT. Steve Wilkins served our state as a Business Analyst Supervisor here at UDOT. A dedicated professional, Steve's kindness, knowledge, and eagerness to assist others made him an invaluable part of our team.
I've had the opportunity to work with @mschultz_12 for almost 10 years. I know from experience that he is a person who understands what is truly important to the people of Utah and is willing to stand up for what's right. Congratulations, Speaker Schultz.

Today's service project at the #UtahTransportation conference looked a little different than our usual partnerships, but was just as meaningful.
Last year, 32 teenage lives were tragically lost on Utah roads last year. Yesterday, ahead of National Teen Driver Safety Week, family members shared their stories to encourage others to drive safely, be aware of surroundings and focus on teen driver education.
Our teenagers are watching us. Parents are the most powerful teachers and what they see and learn from our behaviors is louder than any words. What are we teaching them through our own driving behaviors?
