Dr. Gabor Mate talks facts. The eternal Zionist victim talks fiction.
The evidence is there. A land WITH a people! "Muslims. Christians. Jews. Walking the same gates, the same roads, the same land."
#FreePalestine
Palestine was never empty. The camera already knew that.
In 1896–97, the Lumière brothers sent Alexandre Promio to film the Holy Land under Ottoman rule. What he captured is among the earliest moving images of Palestine: Jaffa Port, the courtyard of Bethlehem’s Church of the Nativity, Jerusalem’s railway station, sacred sites, and people in the streets.
Muslims. Christians. Jews. Walking the same gates, the same roads, the same land.
Not a slogan. Not a later map. Actual footage of a living country called Palestine — ports, churches, stations, markets, worshippers — before partition, before occupation, before the claim that this was a vacant stage waiting for someone else.
Watch the people, not the propaganda. Jaffa was a port. Bethlehem was a town. Jerusalem was a city of three faiths under one sky. That is the historical record, not a talking point.
Palestine had a name. Palestine had people. The film is still there.

I'd posted this comment 2 years ago in response to a tweet about Kristofferson showing support for Sinéad O'Connor. And then I forgot about it until somebody reposted it. In a world of @Pink and @edsheeran be a @SineadOConnor or @kkristofferson or @macklemore or @MsRachelSongs

He recognized her courage and he recognized that she had stood up for something that was important — children. Both of them showed courage and compassion by standing with the Palestinian people and putting their careers at risk because of that.

Isn't it wild how #Iran had the nerve to build their whole country right next to all those American military bases?
Some people know what/who it’s important to stand in solidarity with and live their lives accordingly. 🍉🇵🇸❤️

If this is the official @NDP statement why can’t I find anything on @theJagmeetSingh ’s social media about it? Not to mention condemning Israel. Hard to find anything from him on Gaza as well & we’re almost a year into a genocide. Where’s the outrage? Where’s the action?
I almost wish I was a US citizen so I could vote for her. Almost.
Hey y’all, this is a little spicy but I had thoughts about @AOC calling me and the Green Party “not authentic” and “predatory.”
Well said as usual @ChrisLynnHedges
The Only Way to End Israel's Genocide
There is only one way to end the ongoing genocide in Gaza. It is not through bilateral negotiations. Israel has amply demonstrated, including with the assassination of the lead Hamas negotiator, Ismail Haniyeh, that it has no interest in a permanent ceasefire. The only way for Israel’s genocide of the Palestinians to be halted is for the U.S. to end all weapons shipments to Israel. And the only way this will take place is if enough Americans make clear they have no intention of supporting any presidential ticket or any political party that fuels this genocide…
If we do not hold fast to moral imperatives, we are doomed. Evil will triumph. It means there is no right and wrong. It means anything, including mass murder, is permissible. Protestors outside the Democratic National Convention at the United Center in Chicago demand an end to the genocide and U.S. aid to Israel, but inside we are fed a sickening conformity. Hope lies in the streets.
A moral stance always has a cost. If there is no cost, it is not moral. It is merely conventional belief…
The question is not whether resistance is practical. It is whether resistance is right. We are enjoined to love our neighbor, not our tribe. We must have faith that the good draws to it the good, even if the empirical evidence around us is bleak. The good is always embodied in action. It must be seen. It does not matter if the wider society is censorious. We are called to defy — through acts of civil disobedience and noncompliance — the laws of the state, when these laws, as they often do, conflict with moral law. We must stand, no matter the cost, with the crucified of the earth. If we fail to take this stand, whether against the abuses of militarized police, the inhumanity of our vast prison system or the genocide in Gaza, we become the crucifiers.

Unless Harris does a 180degree reversal on Gaza & calls loudly for an immediate ceasefire, Harris won't bring out the base, she won't bring out young people, she won't bring out Muslims, Arabs or large # s of anti-genocide Jews. She'll lose MI & PA and thus the election.

ALT Report: Hamas Accepts Gaza Cease-fire Deal; Israeli Officials Reject Prospect of War Ending According to the report, Hamas was guaranteed by the U.S. for a full Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and that Israeli forces will not continue fighting once the hostages are released • An Israeli official told Haaretz that 'Israel will, under no circumstances, agree to end the war as part of a deal' and is determined to enter Rafah

This photo was taken in late October by an MSF emergency physician working at Al Awda hospital in #Gaza.
Medical staff in #Gaza are so inundated by the sheer mass of patients arriving that the surgical board used to keep track of the weeks upcoming surgeries has been wiped clean and replaced with these words:
From the Rev. Munther Isaac of Bethlehem Lutheran Church: “No charges have been presented.… This is part of the Israeli apartheid system that oppresses Palestinians.” Shame! #EndTheOccupation #FreePalestine #ChristiansforPalestine 💔🇵🇸🍉
Today we learned that an Israeli military court has placed Palestinian Christian young woman Layan Nasir, who was arrested last week, in administrative detention for four months (renewable). No charges have been presented. Layan is just one of thousands of Palestinians who are in detention with no charges (including 85+ women). This is part of the Israeli apartheid system that oppresses Palestinians. According to Btselem: “Israel routinely uses administrative detention and has, over the years, placed thousands of Palestinians behind bars for periods ranging from several months to several years, without charging them, without telling them what they are accused of, and without disclosing the alleged evidence to them or to their lawyers.”
I have spoken to Layan’ family this morning to console them. Please pray for Layan and Layan’s family. Please pray for justice. Please pray and advocate for the release of the thousands of Palestinian political prisoners / “hostages!”

I love to see Christians doing this kind of creative resistance and would love to see more of it.
And while we’re at it where are all those in my algorithms who are deconstructing or exvangelical? Very few of them seem to be talking about Palestine.
Saying “Congress won’t eat until Gaza eats,” over 60 Christians from across the U.S. are nonviolently blockading the Senate Cafeteria to pressure the Senate & staffers to support a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, restore aid to UNRWA, & end military funding to Israel. #CFPAction
