I was so sharp and so ready for this fight I cannot believe what has happened. The talk of me being off while walking in to the fight is nonsense. I was calm, ready, and confident. I am in shock what has taken place. The devil is literally staring at me right in front of my face here. I am not engaging. I will be at church tomorrow.
I will overcome this.
I will not be deterred.
I will return.

Iām trying to find my dadās 1983 NCAA Finals match that aired on ABC. Some broadcasts from that era have been uploaded to NCAAās YouTube, but Iāve never been able to find his match. Would love to finally watch it. Any help or leads would mean a lot. @ShaneSparksBTN @abcsport

In 2022 David Carr entered NCAA's as returning champ. He lost in Round 2. Then won 6 straight matches to take 3rd.
All 6 were All Americans. 5 of the 6 were 2x AA's. One was against fellow defending National Champ Austin OConnor.
Find a better backside run.

At the 2024 NCAA Championships, 165-pound semifinals. Iowa State's David Carr defeated Missouri's Keegan O'Toole 8-6, overcoming a late deficit with a crucial takedown with only 10 seconds remaining.
The victory snapped O'Toole's two-match winning streak over Carr and sent the Cyclone to the finals, breaking up a projected championship rematch.

I captured a special moment between @rocky_elam29 & @Carrchamp. As Elam took the mat for his match on Sunday, Carr was right on the mat waiting to greet him.
@ROBWGRAY asked Coach Dresser about the way David continues to have a strong presence despite being two seasons out.
āWe have a hard time keeping David off the mat. Thereās a chance to lose team points so we have to hold him back. But we donāt have to tell anybody how special David Carr is and how big of an Iowa Stater he is.ā
