Diluting greatness
Sources: The NCAA has initiated the final steps to expand the men’s and women’s NCAA basketball tournaments to 76 teams. The expansion is on track to be formalized in the upcoming weeks, with mid-May as the target. The 76-team tournaments begin next year. espn.com/mens-college-basket…
Really impressed with Ben McCollum’s role as Special Agent Frank Lundy in Dexter before his coaching career took off.
Why not us (NH)?
The proposal recommends a 35-second shot clock with full implementation for the 2028-29 season. It still needs OHSAA approval. mansfieldnewsjournal.com/sto…
The game needs one. We were in multiple situations this season down 3-6 points with 2+ minutes left. Do we play the foul game? Do we constantly trap the ball hoping for a turnover as teams were in a stall type offense expecting us to foul?

Over the last two seasons, only five NHIAA Division 1 boys basketball teams have advanced beyond the first round of the playoffs.
Exeter
Bedford
Trinity
Nashua South
and Windham.
That streak is on the line vs Nashua South tomorrow.

THE DUNNGEON 🔒
Kris Dunn was 3rd in the @NBA with 128 steals in the regular season - which was also a career-high!
1. Great read.
2. Other conference AD’s being nervous about the position and potential of the Big East… but, but, but something about the requiem for the Big East?
3. A basketball first school is the way to go as a recruit/transfer.
In the new rev-share era, a spending disparity looms: Mid-majors can out-spend power leagues on hoops.
Some Big East programs can top $7M on a roster. Football will limit most in P4 to $2-4M.
The fix? Cheat the cap. “Are we going back under the table?”
