Film Series | Schwartz Athlete Spotlight ⭐️Carter Messick @CarterMessick Grovetown High School @CoachDJmayo C/G/DT 6'3 285 Lbs. C/O 2027 Physicality defines this lineman's game from the opening snap. Whether lining up on the offensive or defensive side of the football, he consistently plays with a low pad level, fires off the ball with purpose, and wins the leverage battle early. On the offensive line, he is assignment sound, creating movement through powerful leg drive while showing the functional athleticism to pull, climb to the second level, and execute combination blocks under control. If he gets underneath a defender's pads, the rep is usually over, generating impressive displacement through his lower-body strength and driving defenders off the football (See :34). His mentality is especially evident in goal-line situations, where he embraces the opportunity to finish blocks. Defensively, his first-step quickness immediately stands out. Flashes an explosive swim move to penetrate the backfield for tackles for loss and sacks (See 1:15), while also showing a powerful push-pull move and heavy hands to disengage from blockers. Stout at the point of attack and relentless through the whistle, he brings a physical edge that consistently shows up on both sides of the line of scrimmage. Film Link: hudl.com/v/2Taq7q
