Friends, we must stop the pathway to decriminalizing rape, domestic violence, and sex trafficking in the House version of VAWA. HR1620 allows felony VAWA crimes to be “diverted” if the victim “voluntarily” agrees.

Our hearts are broken for the family and friends of @Chicago_Police Officer Ella French who was shot and killed in the line of duty last night. She leaves behind a two month old baby.
Her partner who was also shot is in critical condition. We pray for a full recovery for him.

I’m also thrilled to see funding for our CA Family Justice Centers included. FJCs are on the frontlines helping victims & survivors of domestic & interpersonal violence, & their work has become even more important during the pandemic.
This is so outrageous. There is NO research that COVID is spreading because of outdoor dining!!! Government officials are destroying businesses and people’s ability to make a living with no science behind it at all. Fear-driven leadership is destroying lives and livelihoods.
