The reports about the events at Cornellā€”and the lack of accountability for the perpetratorsā€”are sickening. So is the victim blaming in response. Victim blaming: ā€œIf you donā€™t want to be raped, donā€™t go to a frat party.ā€ Responsibility: Donā€™t. Rape. Women. The right focus is not on teaching girls and women to avoid harm. Itā€™s on raising boys and men who donā€™t commit it in the first place.
