Andrew Garfield says Kazuo Ishiguro told him that loving and creating art are proof that the human soul exists “I remember saying to him, I was like, ‘Kazuo, so what's it about? What's this book about?’ He's like, ‘Don't, Andrew, don't do that.’ He's a very polite Japanese Englishman” “And he indulged me and I said, ‘No, come on, tell me what it's about.’ He said, ‘Well, I was thinking about the proof of a human soul. I was wondering, how does one prove that the human soul exists?’” “And the answer that came was if a person is able to love and if a person is able to create art” “Those are the two things when in combination you go, ‘Okay, that's kind of unequivocal proof’” “And I think all people are artists and most people have the capacity to love”

Andrew Garfield says singing lessons for Tick, Tick... Boom! made him burst into tears every time he reached a new note Interviewer: “What muscle do you use differently when you're singing as an actor?” Andrew: “I remember doing singing lessons when I was preparing, and the higher I was starting to go and register it, every time I reached a new note, I just like burst into tears because it's so vulnerable” “It just is physical. When we're kids, we have the full range in body and in voice, but as we grow up and as we learn what works for our parents and what doesn't, what works for our friends and what doesn't, we start to put little parts of ourselves in the box and put on in the closet or under the bed” “And then what I found in trying to find the full range of my voice again is that the fear and the lack of safety I felt by reaching those notes high up that I hadn't reached since I was a kid felt really scary and unsafe” “It stored a lot of emotion. Stored a lot of grief. It stored a lot of longing. And I was like, ‘Oh my god, where have you been?’” “It was an interesting thing. It's like a physical thing that we store these things in the body”

Ryan Reynolds says he never had a Plan B if acting didn't work out “How lucky are you to have something in your life like that? Most people would die to be defined by one thing” “I can't say for everyone, but I know a lot of people who would kill to be in a position that I'm in, to be known by one thing. Like, hallelujah” “As you get older, you stop being agitated by that thing and you start going like, ‘Whoa, I'm lucky’” “Because all I thought about were Plan Bs, and I couldn't find a Plan B. So if I didn't do this, I'd be f*cked, you know?” “So I'm like, thank God I get to be a storyteller. And call me whatever you want, like an actor, just an actor, or just a whatever. I don't care” “But what Ken is describing right now, that's love. That's loving something. How lucky are we to love something?”

Ryan Reynolds says he learned how to be a “motormouth” by studying Dan Aykroyd as a kid “I studied Sam Malone in Cheers. I studied SNL. I would watch SNL the second I got old enough, which is only about seven or eight, where I could stay up that late on a Saturday night” “I would have my nose two inches from the television. I'd watch old episodes of it” “I would watch Dan Aykroyd in almost anything he did to try to speak as fast as he could, because he could speak so quickly and dispense so much information and it didn't sound like he was just rattling something off quickly” “So I really learned how to be a motormouth from him”

Ryan Reynolds says the loser of his race against Hugh Jackman has to wear the other’s superhero suit in Times Square Host: “Aren't you and Hugh doing something? I've heard about” Ryan: “To do a race in Valencia. I'm going to race him with Team Canada. I'm racing Team Canada. He's racing Team Australia. So this will be one very difficult to say. I'm moving for my own survival” “The bet though, the bet though is that the loser… So if I lose, I have to go to Times Square wearing the Wolverine suit with no mask and take all the pictures with all the people for as long as he decides” “If he loses, he has to get in the Deadpool suit, no mask, head to Times Square. Hopefully, I'm not washed in that suit either” “And he's going out there. He's gonna stand there for as long as I want. He's gonna take as many pictures as I want. And I'm gonna spy on him in a disguise from far away just so I can enjoy it”

Health Update: Stem Cell Transplant I had a doctor appointment last Wednesday. He loved the results and asked when will i be ready and i told him i am now but i need time since it costs around $100k which i don’t have. So he did few calls and he managed to get the health ministry to cover the WHOLE thing! I spent the last 3 days in the hospital where they managed to collect enough cells to freeze for the transplant in the most brutal process ever Now i’m back home recovering and taking my prescribed meds, and i have another appointment on Monday so he can check everything and tell me when i’m gonna start the isolation phase During the isolation phase they will nuke my whole immune system with chemo for 6 consecutive days and then inject the frozen cells they took. They told me the process should take 23 days Will keep you guys updated through every phase with all the details as usual Will forever be grateful and thankful for the endless support ❤️

He was being offered up for adoption and I went to a radio station in 2019 in November and I got confused because my morning brain thought somebody said to me, 'There's a dog named Charlie available for adoption. I didn't realize that they were offering him up for adoption in my name" Charlie: "And when they presented the dog, this cute little... it couldn't be much bigger than this little microphone. I was like, 'Of course I'll adopt a dog named Charlie" Charlie: "And then I found out that his name was Billy" Bobbi: "But I like the name"

Andrew Garfield confesses to an “unconscious desire to seduce” at the 2025 Golden Globes Claire Foy: “Okay, you broke the internet at the 2025 Golden Globes. Did reactions online surprise you?” Andrew: “Yes, they did” Claire: “What happened?” Andrew: “You weren’t aware of when I broke the internet, Claire?” Claire: “Why did you break the internet? What did you do?” Andrew: “I put on slutty glasses, apparently, and I adjusted my shirt collar in a slutty way. But in reality, I couldn’t see the teleprompter, and I thought my shirt was too open” “And everyone responded as if I was trying to f*ck them” Claire: “Okay, so you intentionally wanted to thirst trap audiences?” Andrew: “No” Claire: “You knew it! You used slutty as a phrase, a way of describing it, and you knew what you were doing!” Andrew: “Maybe retroactively, retrospectively, there might have been some unconscious desire to seduce” “But it’s unconscious” Claire: “So yes, he knew what he was doing” Andrew: “Oh, now I’m sweating. It happened”

Denzel Washington says he has been a Dallas Cowboys fan since 1966 Denzel: “I’m a Cowboy fan since 1966” “This is what it was. I played football for the boys back then. It was a boys club. We were the Red Raiders, and we would shift. We would do something like - they said something and then we go like this, right?” “Well, the team that did that in those days was the Dallas Cowboys. They come to here, then they’d go up and go down. I said, ‘They shift just like us’” Jimmy: “That’s what attracted you to the team?” Denzel: “Yeah, because they’re like - now I’m like, ‘Oh, they’re like me’” Jimmy: “Have the same move” Denzel: “Yeah, the same move”

Josh Radnor says he turned down every single guy in the big city role he was offered after How I Met Your Mother Host: “Is it fair to say that maybe for a little while after the show ended you wanted to put a bit of distance between-” Josh: “Yeah, a lot. I was doing everything I could” “One is, I didn’t want to be overly associated with it because I thought it was the end of my acting life. I did a play one summer and then I went to Broadway, I did this play Disgraced, I played a morphine-addicted Civil War surgeon in a PBS show called Mercy Street for two years” “I was doing things that were - any hint of single guy in the big city looking for love, I was like, no thank you. And I was offered those roles, but I was like, I can’t do them” “I didn’t want to retire. I didn’t want people - certain people are like, ‘I’ll never see you as any other character,’ and you’re like, all right man, well don’t watch anything else I do, because what am I supposed to do?” “I had this hostility towards people who wouldn’t let me out of what felt like a kind of identity prison” “And now I just have enough time away from it that it now just feels like a big part of my biography, but not the whole thing” “I’ve been able to do enough stuff and create enough of a body of work that I now feel like I have a bigger aspect to my career. It looms large, I’m not going to say it doesn’t, but at the same time I don’t feel the need to run so fast away from it”

Ryoh, co-founder of Legend went from $30K to $200K then lost $150K in one month on his own platform "I'm doing a challenge on Legend $30K to $1 million. I went from $30K to $200K last month, and then I just lost $150K. I'm back at like $60,000 right" "For most people that would basically tilt the trader into not trading anymore, but giving himself this ability to kind of keep going and keep grinding essentially, and progress through the ranks" "One of the largest variables to profitable traders is resiliency. Almost nobody that's a profitable trader has not blown up. I don't know a single profitable trader that has not blown up a portfolio at least one time"

Brad Pitt says Lewis Hamilton nearly sent them into a wall during a high-speed F1 ride, then got out laughing like it was nothing "Then I got in with him. There's this bit on the track, a straightaway, then the carousel, one of these banked walled things. The guy's telling Lewis, take it easy, there's a bump, it can really unsettle you" "And goddamn, he just takes off. We hit the bump, we hit this corkscrew, the back end kicks out, and we're now in the gravel inches from a wall" "He comes out just laughing his ass off. These guys have such control of the car"
