No more 'work' until 28th December! The library manager was concerned I would get bored. That is not a danger.
How to cause panic in a Northern line Tube carriage: announce at Embankment that the next station is closed, with no suggestions or further information. Being as we were, underground, we could not use the internet to find out for a while.
I hope no fire was found.
⚠️Waterloo station -
This station is closed while we respond to a fire alert.

With my great aunt's papers is a copy of her mother's death certificate. She died on 11/12/1924, aged 25. Her children were not allowed to mourn or remember her. This family tragedy had such an impact that 2/3 her name is half of mine. Dead but still remembered.
My oven is broken but I needed to do some Christmas baking! So I spent the morning at my dad's and used his oven &had a lovely time chatting to him. I'd like my oven to work but it was a good morning.

An early Christmas present! I'm very excited to have been elected as an @RoyalHistSoc Associate Fellow 😀 (how could any present beat this?!)
With this encouragement, I must get on with the journal articles and work on turning my thesis into a book.

I hadn’t had a pub roast for years then November’s first and last Sundays involved pub roasts in west of England towns beginning with W. North west to Warrington with my uncle, aunt and cousin then south west to Wells with in law’s.
Wells did the better cauliflower cheese.
Just a bit more sparkle needed and the Christmas panto themed display in the children's library will be finished!
I must disclose that the carriage was my colleague 's excellent work.
