This is it. We just must start *somewhere*. Even if it seems almost nothing, we must do something.
Start. Pray. Grow. – at Chicksands, England
Even when it seems we are able to do little in life, it is always worthwhile. There is always the possibility to find meaning, because God loves our life. #GeneralAudience vatican.va/content/leo-xiv/e…
⚓ Faith and duty.
We asked UK submariners three questions about being Catholic.
Here’s what they said. ✝️

A tale as old as time. Seek God with all your heart, be honest with yourself, and you will find Him.
Jeremiah 29:13
> be me
> born Christian
> call it a scam
> walk away
> try to convince others it’s fake
> read Bible to find flaws
> look for scenarios God handled poorly
> try to propose better solutions
> every alternative I offer is worse
> realize His logic is airtight
> can't out-logic God
> intellectual honesty forces me to admit
> swallow pride
> return to Christ
> spread the Word through art
> help others see the clear path

Fr Willie Doyle didn't ask who you were or what you believed. During WWI, he risked his own life to help the wounded and comfort those on their final breath. Today, the Church is advancing his case for sainthood.
What does it take to be a saint?

I was once a consumer of anti-Catholic content.
Then I began noticing the mean-spiritedness of it all. And the Catholics in the comments would defend their faith.
“Why would these pagan idolators resist correction?” I thought to myself.
So I investigated Catholicism to better understand it and why anyone believes it.
Within two years I was confirmed Catholic.

Earlier this year, Claire Lai was diagnosed with cancer. She recently began treatment in the UK.
Her father heard the news from a prison cell in Hong Kong, where he has been held for nearly 6 years.
In an interview with @MaryMargOlohan of @realDailyWire, Claire said the hardest part has been hearing about her “dad crying whenever he talks about it.”

On @cnn, Sebastien Lai told @jimsciutto that the President of the United States has asked Xi Jinping to free Jimmy Lai multiple times. So have the G7, the European Union and leaders around the world. Beijing still won’t let him go. Jimmy has been held for nearly six years, and his health is failing.
“All they’ve essentially found is that he’s guilty of journalism.”

Blessed Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary!
The feast commemorates the great Christian victory at Lepanto on 7 October 1571. Outnumbered by the Ottoman fleet, the ships of the Holy League defeated the Ottoman navy, halting its advance into the western Mediterranean and freeing some 12,000 Christian slaves.
Pope St Pius V had called the faithful to pray the Rosary for victory, and attributed the triumph to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The feast was instituted in thanksgiving for the victory and extended to the universal Church in 1716.

O God, whose only-begotten Son, by His life, death and resurrection, has merited for us the rewards of eternal salvation: grant, we beseech Thee, that, meditating upon these mysteries in the most holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise.
Regina sacratissimi Rosarii, ora pro nobis!
