Looking forward to seeing the results of @TorontoFdn's upcoming study.
We are days away from revealing what's happened to the strength of our social connections since we first benchmarked them in our 2018 Toronto Social Capital Study. In the meantime, see this short video to learn more about what social capital looks like. youtu.be/V9rRce77R4k
When I was a kid and needed to hide from the world, I would find a closet and just sit in there. I was the youngest of six in a pretty noisy family.
And I have to admit, there have been a few times lately that I’ve been looking at my closet longingly.
We all have times when we need to grieve. And grief manifests differently for everyone. If you need to curl up in your bed or binge-watch Netflix, give yourself permission to do so.
Real integrity is doing the right thing, knowing that nobody’s going to know whether you did it or not. - Oprah Winfrey
Nothing can make our life, or the lives of other people, more beautiful than perpetual kindness. -- Leo Tolstoy
Do what feeds your soul.
And for everyone, that may show up in different ways. Only you know what makes you feel connected.
➡️ What are some ways you feed your soul?
It's important to take action to keep up our optimism. Because taking action – however small, can help to feed our soul.
If we are to work together more intelligently, we will need to choose processes that evoke our curiosity, humility, generosity and wisdom. -- Margaret Wheatley
(2/4) I went through the learnings and the pains over 30 years and brought together this kick butt course called Planning with Purpose.
- 8 weeks of information.
- 1-3 hours per week.
- Self-paced with live Q&A's to help you through the content.
- Lifetime access to course.
(3/4) And you walk away with a fundraising plan, budget, templates, metrics and the knowledge to sell this to your board. And so much more.
It starts on Monday.
I pulled together a neat little video to tell you more about it.

(4/4) This course will give you the confidence to be a better fundraiser.
Who doesn't need that?

(1/4) You're a fundraiser and we support fundraisers.
In fact, that's why I started The Fundraising Lab.
I wanted to help more of you.
Because there's so much you need to know as a fundraiser.
It’s Week 3 of my 7-week campaign to remind folks to keep up their optimism quotient.
Ahhh, the small victories. I’ve talked a bit about them before but wanted to do a deeper dive on this one. (1/5)
In major gifts, it takes 12 – 24 months to finalize a gift in many cases.
That means you get lots of maybes, not now's and no's along the way.
So, in the face of these kinds of stats, you must celebrate the small victories. They help you keep moving on. (4/5)
