On this #MLKDay, I want to share a few images of the breathtaking 20-foot-tall monument that was unveiled on Friday in Boston Common, the nation’s oldest public park. It honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King.

14 million students are in schools with police but no counselor, nurse, psychologist, or social worker.
Our children deserve to be supported, not criminalized. Police do not belong in our schools.
Here's our piece from last night about police in schools and why instead of asking for more of them, we may actually need to think about getting rid of them altogether...youtube.com/watch?v=KgwqQGvY…

The FBI wiretapped Martin Luther King, Jr. and urged him to commit suicide.
Today, they label Black activists as “Black Identity Extremists.”
Surveilling activists was wrong in the past and has no place in our present.

ALT Red background with what looks like a stack of old papers with a black and white photo of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. paper clipped to the top of the stack of papers. Above the photo is typed: "Never forget: America's champion for nonviolent civil disobedience was wiretapped and urged to commit suicide by the FBI." On the photo of Dr. MLK, Jr. is what looks like a piece of ripper papre with "MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. Civil Rights Activist" typed on it in black.

LGBTQ people have always existed.

To survivors of any trauma who worry about being believed, or that their situation wasn’t “bad” enough or “too” bad, or fear being branded or deemed “manipulative” for telling the truth: I see you.
Community is here for you. You are safe with me, & with all of us. You are loved!

You may not know that you know a survivor, but it’s highly likely that you do.
Survivors of trauma are close to you. They are people you love & you may not know.
Many decide whether their story is safe with someone by how they respond to other survivors.
Don’t push them away.

Thanks for making the space for me, and hope we can all make space for others to tell their stories in the weeks to come.

It’s cowardly to resign in lieu of your moral responsibility to invoke the 25th Amendment.
You're trying to save face, but if you actually cared about stopping violence, you wouldn’t have dismantled Title IX protections for sexual assault survivors.
We won't forget that.
