Borderlands 3 had some of the best yet some of the worst marketing I’ve ever seen
The pre-release output was insane and every bit of information was so hype
But man.. was that hype achieved by some very misleading things in there

Borderlands 3 marketing was so good, the most excited I had ever been for a game in a very long time, Borderlands 4 marketing was so crap in comparison, and the game didnt even deliver on the war between the rippers and the order the entire marketing was built around.
I actually thought Arms Race was pretty neat for what it was
But it could have been so much more. Missed Potential-lands strikes again
Imagine multiple maps, hidden switches around the map to spawn a secret boss/raid boss, weekly rotating events
This could have been more
Has anyone here actually checked out Dead Echos?
Is it any good? Does it contain anything important to the bigger picture?
I can’t help but feel like it’s one of those Gearbox side projects that go nowhere and get forgotten about, just like the recent comics
Never will I forget my reaction playing New Tales and getting this terrifying jumpscare

Gearbox should never touch the Pre-Sequel characters again if they keep doing them this bad
I seriously hated the marketing approach of this game.. SO much.
At the end of its lifecycle, people started giving Borderlands 3 its well deserved flowers
4 chose to ignore that game as much as possible. When mentioned in marketing, it was TORN into the ground

Crazy how they decided to take basically none of the parts we liked about bl3 to make bl4 and made that games whole marketing basically just shitting on bl3s existence but that game was better despite its bad story
