A gold medal in the final event of the state track meet seemed like a fitting way for Laney Kathol to conclude her @CedarCatholic athletic career. Her impressive senior year made her the @NorfolkNews girls athlete of the year. #nebpreps tinyurl.com/4rxy3uny

One of the best parts of our job is watching local athletes make history! @CedarCatholic's Carson Noecker takes the win in the Class C 3200 setting a new state and meet record along the way at 9:07.73. Crosses the line... then waits to shake every person's hand. So awesome!

The Burke tradition continues with the entire crowd exhorting Carson Noecker to his 5th career individual State track gold, the 1600 in 4:19. He didn’t get the meet record, but he finishes his career as one of the best runners - and humans - in Nebraska T&F history.
