Alcohol addiction is the worst kind I’ve seen since I got into Mental health.

My brother is 34. His kidney failed, and he’s on dialysis three times a week. I got tested, and I turned out to be a perfect match. The doctor said that only happens about once in ten cases.
But this would be his second transplant. My mum donated one of her kidneys to him eight years ago. He stopped taking his medication, started drinking heavily, and two years later, the kidney failed. My mum still goes for regular checkups.
I told my brother, “Stay sober and take your medication for six months, and I’ll agree to donate my kidney.”
He replied, “You want me to die.”

My aunt texted me saying that God would punish me. My brother posted a photo of himself hooked up to an IV drip with the caption, “Someone doesn’t give a damn about me.”
It’s been 11 days.
