Welcome Home, Iwan! 🔵⚫ Newbridge RFC are delighted to welcome Iwan Whittaker back to the club. Iwan spent all his Mini and Junior rugby years at Newbridge before moving to Ynysddu RFC, where he has spent the last couple of seasons continuing his development and gaining valuable experience. It is fantastic to see Iwan back in the blue and black, returning to the club where his rugby journey began. We are excited to have him back as part of the squad and look forward to seeing his contribution on and off the field this season. Welcome back, Iwan! 💙🖤 #WelcomeHome #OneOfOurOwn #NewbridgeRFC #BlueAndBlack

Guess Who's Back? 🔵⚫ After suffering a serious back injury that forced him away from the game for a period, Matthew has worked incredibly hard to regain full mobility and fitness. His performances for Crumlin RFC and on the 7s circuit this season have shown that he is back to full fitness and ready to go once again. We all know the quality, power and commitment that Matthew brings to a squad. Having been part of the club since the age of seven, it is fantastic to welcome one of our own back into the Newbridge RFC squad for the upcoming season. Welcome back, Matthew. 💙🖤 #OneOfOurOwn #NewbridgeRFC #GuessWhosBack #BlueAndBlack

We are absolutely heartbroken to have seen the horrendous fire earlier this evening at Pantside😢 and the devastation caused in such a short space of time. We cannot begin to imagine what the people affected are going through right now and our hearts go out to everyone that has been affected by such a frightening and horrendous event, and we hope that everyone is safe and well. Our Clubhouse will be open at 8am in the morning and we can offer hot and cold drinks along with changing and shower facilities for anyone who needs it, no need to contact us or make a booking, just drop in. This is our community and we are only happy to be able to offer some sort of help where we possibly can 🩵🖤

Sadly, due to the pitch being so dry, our pre-season friendly against Brixham RFC on Saturday 8th August has been cancelled. We are therefore looking for new opponents on: 🏉 Saturday 8th August 🏉 Thursday 27th August — evening We’re happy to travel. If your club is available, please get in touch! #NewbridgeRFC #PreSeason #RugbyFixture
