🇺🇸 JUST IN: Democrats call the CLARITY Act a “corrupt” bill and threaten to vote AGAINST it.
Three US Senators say they will not support the bill unless it includes an ethics rule preventing officials from personally profiting from crypto.
This comes after Trump disclosed over $1.4B in crypto income last year, his largest source of income.
Without enough Democratic support, the Clarity Act may struggle to clear the Senate’s 60-vote threshold.

We have worked with @AscendEX_ for a long time.
They were our only centralised exchange, chosen specifically because they had entered the US market, were regulated, and gave us the confidence to commit fully. We led with them as our sole centralised listing. A centralised exchange is critical for any project. It provides accessibility, liquidity, and a trusted entry point for our community. We stood by AscendEX because we believed in their direction.
The closure on 1 July came completely out of the blue and is a disappointment. We had no prior indication that this was coming.
We want to be transparent: AscendEX held a major portion of our liquidity. We had invested significantly in the listing, the migration, and the integration with the exchange. We are now actively working to pull our liquidity out of the platform through their withdrawal process.
This is a bump in the road, not a dead end. We are working through this and actively pursuing a new exchange solution. Bear with us as we navigate the situation and find the right path forward. We will be putting out a full statement in the coming days with further details.
In the meantime, if you held Centric tokens on AscendEX, please follow their official withdrawal process: log in, ensure your KYC is current, and submit withdrawal requests through the platform. We appreciate your patience and continued support.
