Single mothers with British citizenship are being pressured into registering 'asylum seekers' as their baby's father to help men commit immigration fraud.
Known as the 'fake dad' scam, it is believed to be organised by the same criminal gangs behind countless 'sham marriages'.
In one case, a couple with a newborn baby didn't speak the same language, lived hundreds of miles apart, and the ‘father’ didn’t even know the woman’s name.
How many nonsense stories like this have enabled people to stay here?
