Cant bring myself to join the main thread, but today's @GianlucaChianti bite could be one of the most painful reads in the X Era...
I'd like @Epithemiou and @harrypeacock17 to turn the Brian and Roger stage show into a movie now please. That is all

The bloke you were listening to is a Man City supporter defending the inexcusable delays in their case. He is biased as Everton's case draws attention away from how on earth City are able to continue operating with impunity in the face of the most serious of charges.
Furthermore. Everton may be in breach of PSR but it does NOT change the fact that:
1. These are multiple punishments driving the same offence. 22/23 accounts are not *public*. 23/24 period had not finished. So unless he is privy to inside information, no one can say with any certainty what the PSR situation will be come the next test in 2024. Especially as the rules may have changed by then.
2. Fundamentally, Everton are victims of double jeopardy. The rules are silent on how punishment should be applied if a club is already on the end of a points deduction + the breach is caused by the same set of losses that impact the next PSR. *Note* the acceleration of PSR timetable this season is NEW.
3. Where did the IC find a 10 point penalty for Everton's cycle ended 21/22 from? Everton are not in administration. How on earth could our penalty be higher than going to administration?
4. How can a *solvent* club be punished twice for the same fault when an *insolvent* club facing administration potentially only be penalised once?
5. Where was the discretion - which the IC has at its finger tips - when considering that the stadium is the primary driver of the breach? That the stadium brings huge benefits and is the very thing that delivers the "S" in PSR (Sustainability)?
6. Lastly, your point regarding the board and owner. The fans already forced resignations and a potential ownership change. They were the first to recognise Moshiri's insanity - well before you - and recognise the trouble that lay ahead. You were poorly researched in your assertion that anger should be directed at the board. It already has & actions are underway. The injustices meted out by the PL are seperate and uncalled for.
You got it wrong. And interesting that you chose to cite a well known City lobbyist commenting on matters Everton, because we all know it suits his, yours, the PL's and City's agenda to divert attention from the obvious cover-up being stitched up to protect the Oil backed team's corrupt legacy of trophies.
