Happy 15th Anniversary to my wife, @SelinaVltra. (wait, what… 15?!) Time does not slow down. We went to high school together. When I stood at a crossroads in early adulthood, Navy pilot path or stay and build a home and family worth fighting for, I chose the latter. I looked for a woman with the qualities that make a great mother, independent yet loyal, strong-minded yet willing to walk beside her husband, steady in her values, and full of quiet strength. Fifteen years and five children later (with number six arriving in just a few weeks), she has far surpassed every expectation I ever held. She is my constant support, even on the days she is the one who needs it most. She loves this country and has paid a real price for standing on her principles. During COVID, while pregnant, she was told she had to wear a mask for 8–11 hour shifts as a lead veterinary technician. She refused to restrict her oxygen and was never allowed back. That is the kind of woman you want in the foxhole with you. Just two weeks ago we stood together at the nation’s Capitol on the 4th of July, celebrating 250 years of American independence as the fireworks lit up the sky. Moments like that remind me how blessed we are to be raising our children in the freedom our founders secured. A strong husband, a strong wife, and the children they raise together are still the foundation of strong communities and good morals. No government program, school, or institution can replace what a mother and father build in the home when they walk according to God’s design. You and the children we are raising are my greatest wealth. Happy Anniversary, Selina. I love you. ♥️
