Learning a new language- coding! These smart kids learned how to talk to our coding mouse “Cheddar” and get him to the cheese! Way to go! @WWP_Dalers @Miss_Schick1
Second day in Kindergarten, we practiced making letter with playdoh and learning the letters in our name with a name mosaic! @NYCSchools @PS131Q
5th graders are working on analyzing character perspective using a multi-perspective book. They put their skills to the test by writing a play from one of the characters perspective!
3rd graders used legos to build a scene from the book were reading. We then used our inferencing skills to guess what scene the other person built!
3rd graders took a walk around the room to read different sections of their non fiction book. We focused on finding main idea!
Fact: 3rd graders played a game of UNO to review fact vs. opinion
Opinion: It was the best game ever!
1st graders learning contractions! They had to match the cookie to the correct cup of milk! What a bunch of smart cookies 😃
1st graders made slime and learned how to follow directions in a sequence! We read the how to steps, marked up the phonics rules we learned, found sight words and then made the slime!
This week 2nd graders learned a new reading strategy, stretchy snake! We can use multiple strategies to help us with our reading!
This week 3rd graders learned about prefixes, suffixes and multisyllabic words to help them figure out tricky words in their reading! Thanks @jdw_readbooks for the awesome dice game!
