From 20th to 23rd June, the Global Center on Adaptation, in collaboration with Tetra Tech International Development and Change Initiative, with support from Global Affairs Canada @GAC_Corporate, hosted a Masterclass on Gender-Responsive and Climate-Resilient Infrastructure public-private partnership #PPPs in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.
Tailored for the @PortChittagong, the Masterclass addressed urgent climate challenges such as sea-level rise, cyclones, and flooding—threats that severely impact port operations and the broader Bangladeshi economy. Participants gained practical knowledge on integrating climate resilience and gender inclusion into infrastructure planning, promoting safer, more equitable workplaces and communities.

At @WEF’s meeting on "Jumpstarting Private Climate Finance," the COP29 President Designate emphasized how the private sector will play a pivotal role in delivering the scale of climate finance we need to keep 1.5 within reach. He called for multilateral development banks and businesses to arrive at #COP29 with clear pathways to reform and robust transparency in their climate commitments, while highlighting the progress made on the New Quantified Collective Goal #NQCG for climate finance at Pre-COP held in Baku earlier this month.
