Actually surprised Disney chose a Potoo over the average corvid/owl for this type of movie
Potoos are so famous yet so underappreciated in media

In honor of International Dog Day - here’s the CATDOG Coloring Book (circa 1999) that was created by the crew for kid’s that came through the studio for tours. There’s no Dog like a CATDOG!

This is a profound sickness, and it's particularly visible in the evolution of eyes. Our art for children, instead of providing attention-inviting detail, overstimulates through exaggeration. It leads to reduced attention & need for greater caricature to feel anything.

I still ask, why did they destroy almost every single design for "realism" but toothless is stylised. Literally this makes no sense from either side, as this "realism" makes everything worse, but you also gonna see an example of stylised design all the time on screen

The comic book-ification of the world has flattened so many things. My kids asked me to stop getting the new covers from the library. They don't like the art, they notice all sorts of missing details. Cheap, fast art makes for a cheap, fast, meaningless world.
