Obama negotiated the JCPOA, which severely restricted Iran’s nuclear program, reduced its enriched uranium stockpile, and subjected its nuclear facilities to international inspections. Iran was complying with that agreement when the convicted felon tore it up in 2018. Iran subsequently accelerated its nuclear program. Those are documented facts, Scotty, not whatever nonsense you’ve decided to invent today. And your claim that the convicted felon “destroyed” Iran is another lie. Iran’s government remains in power. Its military retains the ability to attack American forces, threaten our allies, and disrupt international shipping. American intelligence recently warned that Iran was intensifying efforts to target Americans. Does that sound like a country that’s been destroyed? Obama was discussing Iran’s strategic position, not claiming its military was stronger. Iran has demonstrated that it can disrupt shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, threaten roughly one-fifth of the world’s oil supply, drive up global energy prices, and inflict enormous economic damage despite months of American military attacks. That’s strategic leverage, Scotty. It’s a fairly basic concept. American service members have been killed, hundreds wounded, military installations attacked, and American taxpayers have spent billions fighting a war of choice that has failed to produce a lasting resolution. Iran’s government remains in power, its nuclear future remains unresolved, and the economic consequences are being felt by American families every time they fill their vehicles or pay their bills. Destroying military targets is not the same thing as winning a war. Any competent military strategist understands that. Apparently, neither you nor the convicted felon understands the difference. And here’s what makes your post particularly ignorant. You’re accusing Obama of lying while telling two lies yourself. Obama didn’t turn Iran into a state sponsor of terrorism, and the convicted felon hasn’t destroyed Iran. Scotty, your political loyalty doesn’t give you permission to rewrite history.
