Our latest paper compares gambling harm in Western Australia, where pokies are only available at one casino, to the rest of Australia, where pokies are pretty much everywhere.
Harm in WA is about 1/3 lower and this is attributable to pokies. @CQU

Norway introduced mandatory cashless gambling cards with loss limits and banned all gambling advertising.
Since 2019 the number of people experiencing gambling harm in Norway has halved.
