"Hey, man. Don't make fun of my favorite dead white supremacist who said children dying is a good sacrifice to keep my guns, or I'll be forced to make fun of this child who was raped, tortured, and murdered. By the way, stay away from kids, you groomer!"

Dude just dribble seriously. Congratulations on making an obscene amount of money on a sport no one can ever take that away from you. You are not smart and i really hope you understand that. Your intelligence is levels below the national average. Focus on knocking down open shots

I compiled every reason Haley Stevens said Mike Rogers couldnt be in the Senate purely out of spite
I swear every year the bruins ice the most spiritually 11th place in the conference lineup imaginable and every year they’re a 100+ point team. I will never understand it.

“Keep politics out of my sports.”
It’s a phrase we hear all the time, but it oversimplifies the relationship between sports and the world around us.
I recently had the opportunity to interview Abdul El-Sayed, and I wanted to ask him about was his experience as a collegiate athlete.
Specifically, I was interested in his perspective on the intersection of sports and politics, and what he learned from being in a locker room surrounded by teammates from different backgrounds and beliefs.
I understand why people want sports to be an escape from politics, but the reality is that throughout history, sports and politics have been deeply intertwined. From breaking racial barriers to fighting for equality and civil rights, athletes have played a pivotal role in pushing society toward meaningful social change.
Having spent much of my life in locker rooms, I believe there's something uniquely powerful about bringing people together who might disagree on what’s best for the country, but still have to trust one another and work toward a common goal.
Sports have always been about more than just the game. And sometimes, the impact they have beyond the field is far greater than anything that happens on it.
Here's a portion of our conversation.

Patrick Stewart. Turned up so early and so unobtrusively to be a star in the reasonably priced car, we mistook him for a delivery driver and asked him to go round the back. Took his hat off and said, “But I’m the captain of the Enterprise”. Fucking nice guy.

People call being a sports fan a one-sided relationship. You give a team decades, and it doesn’t even know your name.
Then you see a video like this. An 81-year-old man in a Brewers jersey, crying, with his wife next to him, watching his team win the World Series. The Brewers came to Milwaukee in 1970, when he was about 25. They made the World Series once, in 1982, and lost in seven games. He waited 56 years, through decades of losing seasons, to see this. You don’t see an 81-year-old in that video. You see the kid who started rooting for them.
The psychologist Daniel Wann has spent years studying why fans stay. His research found that identifying with a local team gives people real connections: the friends you watch with, the strangers you high-five, the shared language of a city. In one of his studies of older fans, with an average age around 71, people who identified more strongly with a local team reported feeling less lonely.
So maybe it’s not as one-sided as it looks. The team never learns his name. But it gave him 56 years of people to share it with, and one night he’ll never forget.

So, to recap the Larkin situation, this year he has:
- Said he wants to be a Red Wing for life
- Missed the playoffs again (scored one even strength goal after the Olympics btw)
- Demanded a trade (but only to the top 3 US contenders)
- Lost the captaincy
- Begrudgingly showed up to camp (but wouldn't *really* answer any questions & got "injured)
- Decided to play & said his focus was on winning games
- Expanded his trade list (to the top 10 US contenders)
- Publicly quit on his team for a second time
Missing anything? Seems like a really easy guy to root for

He's waited decades for this. He's never stopped believing. This is a dream come true.
Enjoy this clip. He's everybody's dad tonight.
