Did the doctrine of the Trinity emerge from the study of Scripture or is it a product of Greek philosophical influences on the postapostolic church? Listen/Watch now as we explore church history for the answer. 📷 bit.ly/Al21Ep285 📷 youtu.be/EYPM4Ct5ihE

Works of the flesh can't save you, but neither can faith without works. Real faith is visible, demonstrated, obedient and practiced.

Jesus has invested too much in providing our salvation while we were sinner, to forsake us now as we struggle to pursue after him, to become like him. He will never leave us or forsake us. Let us be fully committed to him because he is fully committed to us. Rom 5:6-11

The flesh dies hard. Jesus knew he would rise from the dead yet he struggled three times in Gethsemane before he was ready to go to the cross.

Jesus demonstrated that leadership in his church should never be separated from common people. Our ‘pulpit ministry’ must be accompanied by personal ministry. Jesus preached/taught the crowds yet touched the individual (literally). We must do the same.

You can't trust your feelings. You've got to learn to trust something that's absolutely foundational in your life. You've got to trust. You've got to learn to trust the word. You got to learn to trust the voice of the Almighty.

1 Cor 6:9-20 teaches: (3) Since God created us as embodied beings, bodies are essential to our identity & our relationship with God. God cares about our body; indeed, it is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

When the tithe is not given, which is holy unto the Lord, the devourer is still released on what is in the ground and what is on the vine. Tithing is a clear mark of spiritual location of a life and is one of the primary ways God attempts pull back into fellowship with Him.

Biblical fasting is very directed- it has purpose PRIOR to abstinence. Getting that purpose dialed in is important because discipline without direction is often frustration and that can(does) lead to abandoning the thing that breeds success. #InTheKeyOfFasting

God instituted marriage as the union of one man & one woman who make a lifelong commitment (Gen 2:24). They are complementary partners (1 Pet 3:7). Marriage is the ideal means of nurturing children, teaching them to love God, training them to be productive members of society.

Jesus explained that in our fallen world some people aren’t capable of the complete marriage relationship, while others don’t marry for the sake of God’s kingdom. Thus, our relationship with God, not marriage, is our ultimate means of fulfillment.
