Inspiration for this piece came after my mom sent a picture of their dinner to me and I was hit with emotion seeing the plates that we grew up eating with. 🔗

This is a very personal drawing with white pen on black paper that expresses some of the feelings I had when I knew I’d be leaving for a long term deployment. The timing lined up so that the wedding we’d been planning for almost two years would happen a month before I’d leave.
