Lol, I’ve repaired plenty phones that were killed by laptop chargers and I’d say it’s not safe
But if you insist, phone engineers are waiting to fix the ones that are unlucky 😭
So maybe I shouldn’t advice people to stop using their laptop chargers to charge their phones 😂
Love the scenario you painted but that doesn’t magically make every phone immune to excess current, heat, or stress on the battery management system.
Your phone doesn’t always get to “choose” cleanly especially if the negotiation fails or the cable/protocol is off
Chef, cooking a bigger pot of pap doesn’t mean the child must eat the whole pot. Same principle here.
A 100W charger can supply up to 100 watts. Your phone only takes the power it needs and supports.
There’s something called switch mode power supply inside the charger, but thats a lesson for another day.
The bigger pot isn’t the problem, Chef. The correct recipe matters.
