Recruiting Lead @Meta. Big on #HR and #Technology. Walks fast, talks faster. Always down to talk careers and growth. But first, coffee. Opinions are my own.

This year, we’re facing the worst #BCWildfire season ever. Over the past 24 hrs, the situation has evolved rapidly and we are in for an extremely challenging situation in the days ahead. Given these fast-moving conditions, we are declaring a provincial state of emergency.

Hiring Managers aren't just looking for the best possible candidate.
They're looking for the best possible candidate with the least amount of "risk"
Figure out what that "risk" looks like to them & increase your chances of landing an offer.

So, so tragic. My deepest condolences to his beautiful family…
Heart breaking news. Ray was an idol for a lot of Richmond Minor Players growing up. Not only was Ray a successful hockey player, he was a community hero and local firefighter. Thoughts and prayers to his family.

I begin #BlackHistoryMonth by celebrating a Canadian hero —Rosemary Brown
The first Black woman elected to a legislature and to run for the leadership of a federal party

Yesterday we learned why a strong professional network matters
An old colleague of mine was laid off ~1 month ago. She was an agency recruiter billing over $1M/year. She left to go in-house to a big tech company
Because of her network, she was able to land a new gig in 3 weeks
