Sending my book to authors I admire was one of the most nerve-wracking parts of the whole process, so to receive these lovely quotes from @cathgraywrites @Oliviapetter1 @geeewheeler @ChezSpecter and more was an incredible feeling. Under four weeks until Main Character is out ✨

big secret to happiness is just liking stuff. finding more stuff to like. finding ways to like stuff you didn’t before. recognizing what it feels like to like something and doubling down on that. what feels frivolous is actually the whole ballgame

Do you love or loathe Valentine's Day? ❤️
Author and columnist, @NotRollergirl thinks it's a great time for 'showing people in our lives that we love them' but podcast host and author, @ChezSpecter says it seems 'antiquated'.

a big part of figuring out your neurodivergence is simply learning to work with your brain rather than against it, and letting go of all of the ‘shoulds’ we’ve been told about how we ‘should’ behave, ‘should’ function, ‘should’ do things and ‘should’ feel.

For Stylist magazine, I'm looking to speak to people who've had a bad experience of the 'manifesting' industry, whether that's through working with a specific coach or paying lots for a course without any substantive takeaway. Do get in touch

"“As librarians, we are trying to keep hold of our fundamental belief,” Poole says. “[That] everybody, everywhere, has a right to access books and learning.” Pleased to have been able to contribute to this excellent piece by @ChezSpecter for @Independent MT @CILIPinfo
My latest for @Independent, on whether the UK is affected by book censorship. Thanks to my interviewees including @NickPoole1, @fictious_cat & @Katie_Dancey, and to editor @__adamwhite for commissioning independent.co.uk/life-style…

I’m writing an ‘alternative New Year’s Eve plans’ piece for a forthcoming newsletter. If you’ve landed on a formula that works for you (or are doing things differently this year) let me know - would love to hear your ideas!

As the only one in my friendship group who's single and without kids, I know what it's like to feel lonely.
