The Green Party is calling for the Terrorism Act to be repealed. The Green Party is now a National Security Threat in my opinion.
Incredible. Friend of Al Qaeda operative Minh Quang Pham who was jailed for trying to blow up a plane at Heathrow wants to repeal the Terrorism Act as it breaks international law as she believes resistance by any means is lawful. I dread to think what she is planning

Greens for Palestine Lubna Speitan just said she wants the ENTIRE Terrorism Act repealed. Over 100 late-stage terror attacks have been prevented since the Act came into force. The Green Party is now a national security threat.

These were issues I raised 15 years ago when I was lay chair of my deanery and a member of the Diocesan Synod; the answer was always along the lines that dioceses cannot model best-practice and fulfil their legal and regulatory responsibilities without large bureaucracies
"The Church has increased its administrative staff by nearly 80 per cent in 20 years while the number of parish priests has almost halved" says @emmasthomson "Where is the logic in running a charity which increases its administrative costs relentlessly while the donor base is shrinking?"

🇬🇧 In 18th-century London, dictionary-maker Samuel Johnson adored his cat Hodge. He personally bought oysters for him, rather than send his servants. Today, a bronze statue of Hodge sits on a dictionary beside oyster shells outside Johnson’s former home in Gough Square.

Our Lady’s row, Goodramgate, York. The oldest complete domestic buildings in the city. Dating to the 14thc they were built as a speculative venture by Holy Trinity church next door.

Tesco “Rosedene Farms” branding conjures up the impression a cosy British orchard. The apples are from France. This is farmwashing: packaging designed to make imported food look local and dupe shoppers into thinking they’re buying British.
