My name is Chukwu Chima Darlington.
I am a Nigerian writer. I have written three novels. But that is not why I am here.
I am here because I believe that stories can change lives. I grew up watching people hustle, struggle, and survive. I watched my father rebuild from nothing. I watched my mother pray when there was nothing to eat. I watched a generation of Nigerians rise, fall, and rise again.
And I decided that someone needed to write it down.
So I wrote about a boy who had only ₦50 left. I wrote about a mother who sacrificed everything for her son. I wrote about a family that lost everything and fought to reclaim it.
These are not just stories. They are mirrors. They are prayers. They are proof that no matter how hard life gets, you can rise again.
I am building here. Every day. With words. With truth. With hope.
If you believe in the Nigerian spirit, follow me. If you believe that our stories matter, follow me. If you believe that an ordinary man with a pen can build something extraordinary, follow me.
I am just getting started.

we need to normalize checking our motives. are you really helping people out of the kindness of your heart, or are you just collecting favors so you can use them as leverage later?
destroying someone’s reputation just to have something to talk about in a group chat is one of the lowest things you can do. gossip is a spiritual disease.know this and know peace ✌️
you will never grow as a human being if your ego is too fragile to handle being corrected. being told you are wrong is a gift, not an attack on your identity. Know this and know peace ✌️

apparently, when my wife doesn’t text back, it’s because she’s busy. but when i don’t text back, suddenly i don’t love her anymore.
why does being busy count as an excuse for her but become evidence of lost love when it’s me?
married men, please explain yourselves.

some people walk into church for the first time hoping to find God, only to be met with side-eyes and judgment over what they’re wearing.
how is policing someone’s outfit before making them feel welcome an act of righteousness? shouldn’t the church make people feel welcome before making them feel judged?

not every pastor who says “the Lord told me” is speaking for God. sometimes, all you need is simple maths and critical thinking.
“the Lord says 10 people should sow $1,000, and another 20 should sow $500.”
why does the voice of God so often come with a specific price tag in some churches?

An old teaching story: a young man begs a teacher, "Show me what you've found."
The teacher walks him into a river and holds him under.
Up he bursts. "What did you want down there?"
"Air. Only air."
"Want it like that."
What do you want that much?

Two students study 32 years. Their teacher says: "Look in this bowl of water. That's you."
One sees his dressed-up reflection and leaves happy.
The other walks halfway home, stops, and goes back. He keeps asking for 101 years.
What answer did you accept too fast?

A boy at a teacher's door. "Who is your father?"
Students smirk. He could lie.
"I don't know. Nor does my mother. I'm Satyakama, son of Jabala."
The teacher stands: "Only a lover of truth says that. You're in."
Who needs to hear "thank you for the truth"?

Three groups of students ask a teacher for a final lesson.
He says one sound: "Da." And leaves.
Each group hears something different. Hold back. Give. Be kind.
The old story says thunder still repeats it: Da. Da. Da.
Which one is the thunder saying to you today?

You take care of your body.
You take care of your work.
But when was the last time you took care of your mind?
What if 10 minutes of your day could become your favourite part of it?
Give yourself that time ❤️

If he can’t find any excuse to give the client, he should cover the expense and see it as a sacrifice to maintain his reputation.
He wanted to make a ₦10,000 profit, only to end up with a loss of ₦10,000.
He will be stuck because the client might see him as an honest person, and he would try his best to maintain that name.
My neighbor had a client who needed a soundproof generator to transport a container loaded with medicine from the South to the North.
He contacted a generator owner who agreed to hire it out for ₦40,000. My neighbor quoted the client ₦50,000, making ₦10,000 profit.
But on the day of the job, the generator owner discovered the container was loaded with medicine and suddenly changed his price to ₦50,000, asking my neighbor to collect an extra ₦20,000 from the client.
Now, my neighbor is stuck. He had already agreed on a price with his client, and going back to demand more money could damage his reputation.
What would you do in his position? Would you ask the client to pay more or find another generator owner, even if it means losing your profit?

As a man who went to your in-laws’ house to participate in your wife’s younger sister’s traditional marriage, if your wife informed you that it’s time to pound yam and asked you to come and pound it, what would you do?
My uncle went to his in-laws’ place to participate in his wife’s younger sister’s traditional marriage.
While he was chilling under the canopy drinking his beer, his wife approached him and informed him that they needed people to help pound yam.
He stood up and asked her what she said.
When she repeated it, he immediately gave her three hot slaps on the face.
He took his belongings and left his in-laws’ house immediately.
I thought the matter would escalate, but his in-laws never allowed it to.

There is this woman who teaches in a government school in my area.
She doesn't have a car, but one of her male colleagues has a car and he always picks her up every morning before going to school.
I haven’t seen her husband complain about it, and they are still living peacefully.
People should be protective, but over-protectiveness destroys things.
Live for your peace of mind, because you can’t stop what is meant to happen.
Married men, your wife works on the island and there’s this neighbor that lives on your street who happens to work on the island too. Would you tolerate your wife following the man’s car to the island everyday to ease her mobility?
Would you be comfortable with such arrangement?
Pls share your thoughts.

He is even broke and still has the audacity to marry a second wife, hoping the woman he betrayed will feed him and his new wife.
Your aunty deserves an award for dealing with him in a painful but honorable way.
Irresponsible men and audacity na 5/6 🥸
He should enjoy his new wife in peace and leave your aunty alone so she can also stay where she will enjoy her own peace of mind.
My aunty built a house without informing her husband. He found out when she brought a truck to move her belongings.
They had been married for 21 years and had four children together.
Last year, my aunty was at home when she came across a picture on Facebook. To her shock, her husband was getting married to a second wife in their village.
He later brought the new wife to their rented apartment and told my aunty to accept her fate.
My aunty didn’t argue. She didn’t fight him. She simply kept quiet.
Two weeks ago, her husband and his new wife were shocked to discover that she was moving into a house she had built secretly.
Her husband confronted her angrily.
“Why did you do this? You abandoned our uncompleted building and lied that you didn’t have money. What do you expect your co-wife to eat? You know she doesn’t work, and my own work isn’t regular either.”
My aunty looked at him and remained silent.
Yesterday, she sent him divorce papers.

My friend was arrested because his POS was traced to a ₦500,000 transfer from a defrauded victim.
There is this particular customer who has been doing POS transactions in my friend’s shop for over six months.
He claims to be a visa agent and sometimes uses my friend’s POS to receive money from his clients.
What he does is collect money from people while promising them visas to their preferred countries.
Once they send the money, he starts giving them different stories.
One day, he defrauded the younger brother of a senior officer in the country.
They tracked the account and got my friend arrested.
The sad part is that my friend doesn’t know where the man lives, and the phone he used to communicate has been switched off.
My friend ended up paying ₦2,500,000 before they released him from detention.
