🌌China advocates peaceful use & safety of outer space The Committee on Disarmament and International Security (First Committee) of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly approved resolutions on “Further practical measures for the prevention of an arms race in outer space” and “No first placement of weapons in outer space.” The vision of a community with a shared future for humanity was again included in the resolutions. This marks the tenth consecutive year that this vision has been incorporated into UNGA resolutions on outer space. China advocates the peaceful use and safety of outer space, and promotes the building of a community with a shared future for humanity in the domain of outer space. China firmly opposes the weaponization of and any arms race in outer space, and calls for negotiations on an international legal instrument to safeguard lasting peace and common security. Forget waiters with trays. At this restaurant, the staff glide. 🍽️ Three workers on hoverboards weave through the dining area, carrying dishes with effortless balance. What used to be a routine duty is now a coordinated performance. That's "fast food" in a whole new sense. #FunChina

In Xinjiang, the cotton harvest is in full swing. Over 10,000 cotton-picking machines are working around the clock, and the fields stretch white to the horizon. 🌾 This year, there's something else in the fields too: a fashion show, held right beside the harvest, with the vast cotton fields as a natural runway. Xinjiang is China's largest premium cotton production base, producing 6.165 million tonnes last year, 92.8% of the national total. A bumper harvest, and a life worth celebrating. #XinjiangCotton #China

China's wind turbines are going where fixed-bottom ones can't: the deep sea. 🌊💨 OceanX, the world's largest operational floating wind platform by installed capacity, carries two turbines on one platform. It survived Super Typhoon Yagi before even being powered up. From Yangjiang to the world, Chinese wind tech is turning sea winds into green electricity. #CleanEnergy #ChinaInnovation

Ancient artifacts with meme energy! 🏺 At Luoyang Museum in Henan, pottery figurines throw punches, give thumbs-ups, and pose like besties. A fire-damaged Buddha figurine still radiates calm. Five thousand years of Chinese history have left us countless treasures. Through them, we can still feel the emotions and daily lives of people from millennia ago. Across time, the resonance endures. Who says history can't be funny? 😄#ChineseHistory

#ChinaOvaDeh Follow Petra Williams’ perspective — and see China through her eyes. 😆 Chinese Adventures Resume| Another Look at the Great Wall By Petra Williams, Petra The Spectator Another Great Wall trek! First Juyongguan Pass, now Mutianyu. Life continues giving, and here I am again, putting a little more mileage on these legs! Coming from Antigua and Barbuda, I treasure the opportunity to experience China beyond the pictures—to walk, observe and create memories of my own. At Juyongguan Pass, the mountains and stone archways framed one unforgettable encounter. At Mutianyu, the wall stretching across the green hills offered another perspective. The photographs capture different moments, but the sense of wonder connects them. There is something special about standing in a place you have heard so much about and discovering that the experience still exceeds your imagination. The steps demand effort, while the views give you every reason to pause! Beyond its breathtaking scale, the Great Wall invites reflection on the ingenuity, endurance and sacrifice behind its construction. Walking along it brings that human achievement into sharper focus. These visits are part of my continuing Chinese adventures—opportunities to marvel, learn and appreciate a world far beyond home. Another trek. Another perspective. Another moment to treas.
