Some weeks ago we reported an outbreak of Sooty Bark Disease killing Sycamore trees in a range of locations across Chislehurst Commons. This outbreak centred on the wooded verge close to Bromley Rd and the War Memorial traffic lights.

Today our Keepers replaced the old bench near the bus-stop on Loop Road which was originally placed there in 1969 in memory of Beatrix Batten CBE - she led the #RedCross in #Chislehurst & served on the War Memorial Committee through both World Wars.
