I’ve said it many times: I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for Dan Baker. From Reading to Lehigh Valley, Dan has been there for me through it all, and I am so grateful. Thank you to ⁦@MattGelb⁩ for putting this together so beautifully. theathletic.com/3479266/2022…

Baker, the voice at the Phillies ballpark for 50 years, inspired, and later mentored, a young fan who grew up to become a PA announcer.

My choice for the Phillies Wall of Fame in 2027 would be Public Address Announcer Dan Baker. Dan Baker has been the voice of the Phillies for 54 years and is one of the best Public Address announcers in MLB history. His impact on the Phillies and the city of Philadelphia is immense. Make it happen @Phillies

No one is actually upset that Philly fans booed players not named Harper or Schwarber last night. They are jealous their cities have no real passion and it makes them feel insecure about their own fandom.

Based on their receptions in the intros Philly fans hate all Mets, Yankees, Dodgers, Braves and Astros plus Jordan Walker and most living things. (They do love their Phillies, The Phanatic and Philly area native/Eagles fan Mike Trout)

MLB recognized Dan Baker pregame. He is on the PA for his third All-Star Game. He will not announce the entire game, but he is here and just did an introductory announcement.

Bad look on MLB/Fox not having Dan Baker doing the All Star Game introductions. Pathetic.
