Dragon Ball fans when the anime that literally advertised itself as sticking true to Toriyama’s vision actively ignores Toriyama’s vision

are doing good and trying to keep the fanbase clean from drama.
Except BlackBlur, he’s a fucking idiot who deserves to leave
I’m not really into Sonic anymore after the drama I’ve been in, I’m mostly going back to old franchises I used to hyperfixate over, but don’t expect to-
That's not something you would see Saiyan, Namek, or Cell saga Vegeta do. They'd probably try to escape Earth or bargain with Beerus to become his G.O.D. Candidate or something. Getting rid of Vegeta's groveling actively removes an important part of Modern Vegeta's character.
Vegeta embarrassing himself for Beerus is necessary to his character.
Unlike everybody at Bulma's party.
Vegeta KNOWS what Beerus is capable of. And he's come to love the Earth and its people so much to the point where he's completely content with groveling to save it.

If they wanted to get rid of Vegeta on his knees that’s fine, but they definitely should’ve at least kept the scene of Vegeta cooking.
If Toei advertised this thing as “sticking true to Toriyama’s vision” but intentionally ignore parts of that vision its not really doing its job
Also them removing all the scenes of Vegeta sucking up to Beerus hurts Vegeta’s characterization. He does all those things because he cares about the Earth and knows that if he doesn’t suck up to Beerus, he’ll get tired and just blow it up. The movie explicitly states that.
In all honesty I don’t get why Toei tries to make the My Bulma scene more dramatic than it’s supposed to be. It should be a quickly paced scene: Bulma gets slapped, she goes down, Vegeta powers up. We didn’t need half a minute of Vegeta crashing out before he even transforms.
Some Dragon Ball fans will see this panel and say that Goku being scared of a rat is out of character for him and that they made him a “man child” because back then he used to put them in his mouth as a kid.
Now if you asked which show I’d rather sit down and binge watch from start to finish I’m choosing Prime every day of the week but that’s a whole other topic
Closest we’re gonna get to a Sonic anime (at least for now) is a 2d western animated Sonic show with anime influence, i.e. Teen Titans, ATLA, MAWS etc.
Sega’s definitely been trying to broaden his appeal in Japan but atp in time I wouldn’t bet on a fully fledged anime just yet.
