Given all the years of homeowners and residents in California have endured and suffered over the last 15+ years (due to fire 🔥, negligence, mismanagement, etc.), I (really) hope that they will elect the RIGHT individual to serve in this new role.
It may be one of the most ("overlooked") roles, but critical for Californians during the next decade plus.
P.S. I hope that he will solicit help and wise counsels from other deep experts in this domain/industry, incl. Patrick Wolff in the years to come.

Ben's top priorities include:
- Fighting insurers that deny and delay. Leading the fight against companies that stall claims and refuse to compensate wildfire victims.
- A leader on wildfire prevention. A record of preparing California for the fires we know are coming - not just responding after.
- Refuses insurance industry money. Not taking a dollar from the industry he'd regulate. He'll answer to you, not them.
It's too bad that (real) expert in this domain is out of the picture/race... but he makes a poignant observation. Californians should heed (for their safety and security).
