So good to see the new ambulances coming into the service. Huge amount of work from so many people to make this possible
New bespoke ambulances will soon be providing life-saving care on the streets of London, with dozens more arriving in the next few months 🚑
These new ambulances are lightweight and accessible, greener and more efficient + digitally enabled for the future.

It’s been a busy few months but we are well & truly going green now with 225 fully electric, PHEV, mild hybrids & ULEZ compliant diesels going into service soon plus a massive charging network from 22-150KW. Emissions reduction plus a raft of improvements for patients & staff 😀
We’re investing £16.6 million in making our fleet of emergency response vehicles greener than ever, including buying specialised electric cars and motorbikes, and new lighter ambulances that will cut down emissions. @EveningStandard has the full story: standard.co.uk/news/health/l…
Very proud to see this in the flesh, it’s been a long time coming & has been received really well. Not only zero emission but improved accessibility for patients & staff, dementia friendly & showcasing video triage that can further reduce conveyance & improve pathways

Great day - featured by @OZEVgovuk for our zero emission ambulance with @Ulemco & had 180 suppliers attend the engagement day with @NHSImprovement @GreenerNHS for our shared ambition for a zero emission, lightweight, more accessible ambulance
Our zero emission ambulance prototype is a previous winner of similar funding.
We want to play our part in making the capital a cleaner, better place to live, and our work with @ULEMCo and @InnovateUK is a big step towards doing that.
