- The Design of Everyday Things by Don Norman (it'll change how you even buy your next door handle)
These are books I've either read or listened to (🎧) that I can recommend to anyone looking to learn more about the business of web dev or web dev for business.
Management:
- High Output Management by Andy Grove (How to lead sideways, and how to do Employee Reviews effectively)
- The Leader's Guide by Eric Ries (🎧) (Deep thought about Startup leadership flexibility)
- Good to Great by Jim Collins (🎧) (Great!)
Analytics & Metrics:
- Data Driven Marketing by Mark Jeffrey (one of my favourite books of all time. a harder mathy read, but worth it to push through. Learn the metrics that matter in the web & SaaS business)
Business:
- $100M Offers & $100M Leads by Alex Hormozi
- 1 Page Marketing Plan by Allan Dib (Not actually one page, sorry for the spoiler)
- How To Castrate A Bull by Dave Hitz
Web Development:
- The Phoenix Project by Gene Kim, George Spafford and Kevin Behr
- The Unicorn Project by Gene Kim (both excellent, the Phoenix project was the standout to me)
- The Metaverse: and how it will revolutionize everything by Matthew Ball (Apple vs. Web Apps)
