Nobody will remember: -your salary -how “busy” you were -how many hours you worked People will remember: -the clanging sound of Mark Bellhorn’s home run off Pesky’s Pole in game one of the 2004 World Series, which sealed the win for the Red Sox.

The perfect ending for Justin Verlander. His daughter runs out to the mound and he walks off with his family. Feels like a movie.

This is awesome. How can you not be romantic about baseball? Tonight is going to be a movie. Literally.

The car that Walt Clyde Frazier rode in today is a 1952 Chrysler Imperial Parade Phaeton estimated over $1 million It’s the same car that’s carried countless legends down the Canyon of Heroes including the Apollo 11 astronauts who first landed on the moon

Why are #RedSox so terrible at home this season? It's not "the ballpark." It's not Jahmai's pants. It's these players failing to produce, these coaches unable to turn it around, but mostly it's this front office that built a thumpless, un-entertaining roster not ready for big league competition.

What’s the list? Jarren Duran, Trevor Story, Caleb Durbin, Roman Anthony? Fingers are being pointed. For Duran, you held him like an MVP candidate and purposely chose to keep an outfield logjam that created more problems for him than anyone else. You also chose to bet on Trevor Story repeating what he did last summer. Especially by doubling down on pitching and defense. Durbin didn’t have much of a track record besides a solid rookie year, but you jumped on that deal. And it’s exploded in your face. Lastly, is Roman Anthony, who we all hoped for an MVP season, but knew those were massive expectations for your age-22 season.
Craig Breslow on the message to the Red Sox lineup right now, via @ChrisCotillo: “A lot of guys are just not performing to their career norms… That’s not counting on guys to take steps forward. That’s just counting on guys to be the guys they’ve always been.”

A friend in baseball once told me: It's amazing how far away spring training feels on Dec. 31 ... And how close it feels on Jan. 1 Just to prove that ... The first spring training game of 2026 is 7 weeks from today! Feel warmer yet?
