In BC, the Business Practices Act bans deceptive acts where “a person could reasonably conclude.. a price benefit exists but it does not.”
In other words, jacking up the price, then pulling it back and claiming it's a discount.
I found 240 cases where @UberEats fails this test. /
Others respect customers by offering true BOGOs with no increase.
Memphis Blues, Quesada Burrito, Chopped Leaf, Earls, Jugo Juice, Nandos, Taco Bell, Blenz, Japadog, and Boston Pizza among them.
At a time when customers are being gouged from all sides, be a Nandos, not an A&W.
