Back in 2014, there was a man who was already aware of the irregularities involving Manchester City. That man now runs FIFA. The infamous Gianni Infantino, then UEFA General Secretary, abused his authority, shared confidential documents and, in short, outmanoeuvred the Investigatory Chamber, doing everything in his power to ensure that both Manchester City and PSG would merely receive a fine, avoiding a deeper investigation that could have led to a Champions League ban. All of these details were also revealed through Football Leaks. Given his actions as UEFA General Secretary and, more recently, as FIFA President, I can only say, in my humble opinion, that Gianni Infantino has become a cancer on football and should have no place in the future of the game.

Man City guilty of ALL charges. £900m is batshit crazy. For context Everton got docked 8 points for £25 million. The sanctions hearing will be an all-timer.

🚨 Premier League confirm an independent Commission has found Manchester City GUILTY OF ALL CHARGES related to serious breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules over a nine-season period, and the majority of charges in relation to its failure to co-operate with the League’s investigation.
It is my understanding, there is a seriously confident expectation now for a decision on the Man City 115 case to be delivered in the coming weeks ( sometime in the summer latest ) All Premier League clubs await official communication.

Mr. Coxon is right. The very people building this technology admit that it could threaten the future of humanity. That is why I will soon be introducing legislation to ban superintelligence and pause AI development.
I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

So far, in the 2026 elections, 50 mega donors have spent $1.6 BILLION. 🟦George Soros (D): $102M 🟥Jeffrey & Janine Yass (R): $93.8M 🟥Ben Horowitz & Marc Andreessen (R): $91.3M 🟥Elon Musk (R): $90.6M 🟥Elizabeth & Richard Uihlein (R): $70M 🟥Miriam Adelson (R): $67.6M 🟥Greg & Anna Brockman (R): $50M 🟥Paul Singer (R): $37.1M 🟥Cameron & Tyler Winklevoss (R): $33.2M 🟥Ken Griffin (R): $32.5M Billionaires — in either party — should not be able to buy elections. That is not democracy. That is a corrupt campaign finance system. We need to end Citizens United. We need to get super PACs out of our elections. We need public funding of elections.

They must be mistaken, I was told that City aren't state owned and their success is purely because of sporting integrity and excellence.

Why would the UAE even need to interfere with the investigation if City had done nothing wrong or weren't a state owned sportswashing project? They're guilty & they're doing everything to bury it. They arrogantly believe money buys anything they need & why they financially doped for years & years. When the verdict lands, they should be forced to sell & any punishment must have an impact that takes as long to recover from as the damage to English football. This is why state ownership has no place in the sport, clubs should not be allowed to be used as playthings.

The accusation that I am antisemitic is appalling and fundamentally dishonest. Criticizing the actions of the Israeli prime minister, a military technology contract, or the executives who supply it is not the same as criticizing Jewish people. This critical and necessary dialogue is then dishonestly framed as being anti-Israel. To be clear, my views come from my own political convictions and should never be interpreted as hostility toward Jewish people, for whom I have deep love and respect.  Everything I know about acting, activism, and humanism has been profoundly shaped by the Jewish friends, colleagues, and loved ones who have been integral and family throughout every point of my life. This merger has real consequences for real people, and for the entire country. Scrutinizing the Ellisons, including Oracle’s business built on data, surveillance technology and government contracts, and the serious threat to editorial freedom and the loss of a livelihood for thousands of families, is fair and necessary. The $111 billion deal would hand one family control over CNN, HBO and Warner Bros., backed in part by foreign money whose influence on editorial decisions has never been fully explained to the public.  Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for serious national security review, and regulators still haven’t given the public a real answer. Until they do, the merger shouldn’t move forward. Now is the time to dive boldly into all these issues, not step back or concede.
