Is this a dream?
The Dreamer and the Dream
You are an eternal Spirit sharing one Universal Eternal Formless Mind.
This Mind is You — right now and forever.
When Mind sleeps, it dreams.
It becomes the Dreamer of worlds that, like all dreams, have beginnings and endings. Dust to dust. Nothingness appearing as somethingness.
What you call the “world” — in both daydreams and night dreams —are only appearance and disappearance within you, the Mind.
Brain-bodies, and their private and shared “worlds” are not real, only APPARENTLY real.
Worlds are images. You, Mind, are the image-maker — nothing more, nothing less.
In night dreams, everything feels completely real while it is apparently happening. Laws of physics are apparently broken. Apparent characters apparently laugh, cry, feel terror, experience pleasure, orgasm, and even die. An injured body can apparently dream of being whole. A healthy body can apparently dream of being broken.
But when the night dream ends, it becomes clear: Nothing actually happened. It was only appearance.
The physics of all dreams — day and night — are the same.
Write these three words everywhere and memorize them:
Nothing APPARENTLY happening.
“Apparently” should become one of your favorite words.
The daydream you call “my life” is the same. It only appears more solid and consistent. But the rule never changes:
Nothing is APPARENTLY happening.
Only appearances appearing and disappearing simultaneously.
This “world” is an appearance. Bodies are appearances. Events, experiences are all appearances. Dust to dust.
Appearing and disappearing arising simultaneously. Nothingness to nothingness.
Even “now”, as you read this, the image of “you” is already not what it apparently was a moment ago. The Eternal Mind — your true Identity, along with being an eternal Spirit — is changeless and forever. You have no beginning and no ending. You are forever. You are the Mind, the dreamer, the image-maker.
Forms are constantly shifting — apparent frames flickering within You, the changeless Eternal Mind, the Dreamer (Mind asleep).
You, the Dreamer, are forever. Apparent worlds appear and disappear simultaneously. The appearances do not last. You are not the apparent character in the night dream. You are not the apparent character in the daydream.
You are not the apparent world.

Joy returns when you see that you were never part of a joyless “world” that suffers and ends in death, with only fleeting glimpses of pleasure. Thank God. You are Eternal Spirit, One Big Family. You are the Eternal Mind
in which entire worlds of appearances

Nothing is APPARENTLY happening.
The world is only an appearance — a dream. The goal is to shift from joyless dreams to happy dreams by retraining the Mind that is asleep in judgment
and in the belief that conceptual “knowledge” is real Knowledge.
Forgiveness for what never happened — and is not happening now —
is the key to the Mind’s awakening
to its eternal remembrance
in service to You, the eternal Spirit.
And by teaching and giving this to “others,”you strengthen it in the one Universal Mind, for when ideas are shared among equals, you are giving them to your Self.

1. There is a place in you where this whole world has been forgotten; where no memory of sin and of illusion lingers still.”

4. This sacred Son of God is like yourself; the mirror of his Father’s Love for you, the soft reminder of his Father’s Love by which he was created and which still abides in him as it abides in you. ²Be very still and hear God’s Voice in him, and let It tell you what his function is. ³He was created that you might be whole, for only the complete can be a part of God’s completion, which created you.
5. There is no gift the Father asks of you but that you see in all creation but the shining glory of His gift to you. ²Behold His Son, His perfect gift, in whom his Father shines forever, and to whom is all creation given as his own. ³Because he has it is it given you, and where it lies in him behold your peace. ⁴The quiet that surrounds you dwells in him, and from this quiet come the happy dreams in which your hands are joined in innocence. ⁵These are not hands that grasp in dreams of pain. ⁶They hold no sword, for they have left their hold on every vain illusion of the world. ⁷And being empty they receive, instead, a brother’s hand in which completion lies.
6. If you but knew the glorious goal that lies beyond forgiveness, you would not keep hold on any thought, however light the touch of evil on it may appear to be. ²For you would understand how great the cost of holding anything God did not give in minds that can direct the hand to bless, and lead God’s Son unto his Father’s house. ³Would you not want to be a friend to him, created by his Father as His home? ⁴If God esteems him worthy of Himself, would you attack him with the hands of hate? ⁵Who would lay bloody hands on Heaven itself, and hope to find its peace? ⁶Your brother thinks he holds the hand of death. ⁷Believe him not. ⁸But learn, instead, how blessed are you who can release him, just by offering him yours.

Into eternity, where all is one, there crept a tiny, mad idea, at which the Son of God remembered not to laugh.
In his forgetting did the thought become a serious idea, and possible of both accomplishment and real effects. Together, we can laugh them both away, and understand that time cannot intrude upon eternity.
