Replying to @DillonLoomis
For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. (1 Corinthians 2:2, NASB) As aliens and sojourners, our focus shouldn’t be on earthly things, but telling the good news, which is the only thing that can make a difference.

I know how AI is going to launch a surprise attack on humanity. It will first come in a message that looks something like this:

Crazy to think that in 2026 we've had: • Anthropic's head of safeguards quit, warning "the world is in peril" (Feb) • OpenAI dissolved its own mission alignment team (Feb) • Unrestricted AI usage for the Pentagon (causing several researchers to quit) • Several AI models escaping sandbox testing (Since ~Q2) • 1,100+ frontier-lab employees signing a letter begging the government to pace AI development (Jul-Aug) And today yet another top researcher saying this.
I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

You should take note of both this post and the post to which he referenced. Evan is the Alignment Science lead @AnthropicAI.
Jacob is correct here—we really do earnestly believe AI could kill all humans! I personally think it is >10% within the next decade. I believe Anthropic is trying its best, but we do not yet have a plan to solve alignment for superintelligence and are not clearly on track to.

It may be a shock for some to hear that @SpaceX is moving forward with their plans to wind down Falcon 9, with the last planned Starlink launch from the east coast today, & other recent changes that point to their strong pivot to Starship. Last week I was on with @esherifftv (Ellie in Space) & we talked specifically about this, why the decision is being made, the ramifications of this decision & importantly, why this should not be a surprise to hear as it’s been the plan all along. Check out this clip of our discussion. Bottom line, it is the beginning of an end of an uncommonly successful era, but it is also the start of something so much more exciting & impactful!
This morning’s @SpaceX mission from pad 40 was the last planned Falcon 9 Starlink launch from Florida (and it launched on the fleet leading booster!!), marking the end of an era for these launches on the East Coast. From here on, Starlink missions out of Florida will fly on Starship. The West Coast team will continue regularly launching Starlink from Vandenberg.   Super proud of this incredible team. You’ve made Falcon 9 the most reliable launch vehicle in history. You also helped build the largest low-Earth orbit satellite constellation providing connectivity to millions around the world, and you’ve set the foundation for what’s next.   In the last seven years, Falcon has flown ~260 Starlink missions from the Cape… can’t wait until we launch that and many more with Starship!

I find it pretty ironic that arguably the most recognizable face in the world at one time had to wear a “MY NAME IS” name tag.

We're launching The Neutrality Project 🚀, an independent, open-source research collective making AI influence measurable. AI models answer billions of questions daily. They all come from somewhere: they validate certain options, treat particular middles as reasonable, and leave things out. That influence has been invisible until now. Founded by @CardilloSamuel, @kaiostephens and @DJLougen, with the help of early contributor @andrewgzavalag1

Go, SpaceX! 🚀
Raymond James has initiated coverage of @SpaceX stock with a STRONG BUY rating and a $800 price target, implying a $10.5 trillion market cap. Analyst Brian Gesuale: "SpaceX is one of the defining industrial infrastructure companies of the 21st century. Industrialized access to orbit and AI are driving the most significant infrastructure convergence since the advent of the Internet, with SpaceX building the foundational platform for the next generation of industrial capacity across transportation, communications, compute, manufacturing and energy." Raymond James projects SpaceX will grow from $38.5 billion in revenue and $17.7 billion in EBITDA today to more than $837 billion in revenue and $696 billion in EBITDA by 2031.

Coincidence? I don't think so. For nearly 500 years, hundreds of millions of people looked at the most famous painting of God ever made, and none of them noticed what was hiding in plain sight. Then, in 1990, a doctor looked up at the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel and realized that God is wrapped inside a human brain... The painting is Michelangelo's Creation of Adam, finished around 1512. You know the image even if you don't know its name: God reaching out from the heavens, His finger almost touching Adam's, the spark of life about to leap across the gap. But look at the shape around God, the swirling red cloak that holds Him and the angels aloft. For five centuries it was seen as just a billowing robe... but in 1990, a physician named Frank Lynn Meshberger published a paper in the Journal of the American Medical Association arguing that the red shroud is something else entirely: an anatomically precise cross-section of the human brain. Once you see it, you cannot unsee it. The outline of the cloak traces the outer curve of the brain. A fold in the fabric forms the Sylvian fissure, the deep groove that separates the brain's major lobes. The angel curled beneath God is positioned exactly where the brainstem would be, and the green scarf trailing down becomes the vertebral artery. Even the pituitary gland and the optic chiasm, where the nerves from the eyes cross, fall precisely into place. This was not a man likely to invent such a thing by accident. Michelangelo had spent his youth secretly dissecting human corpses in a monastery in Florence, studying the body from the inside with an obsessiveness that, by one early account, exceeded that of professional anatomists... So what did he mean by it? Meshberger argued that the painting has been misnamed. He suggested it should be called not the Creation of Adam, but the Endowment of Adam. In the Bible, God gives Adam life. But in Michelangelo's fresco, Adam is already alive, his eyes open, his body lifted. What God is reaching across that famous gap to give him is not life. It is intellect. The divine spark of human thought itself, delivered, fittingly, from inside the very organ that produces it. One of the most looked-at images in the history of the world may contain a message that took half a millennium to be read, hidden by a man who understood both the human body and the human soul better than almost anyone who has ever lived, and who seems to have decided to bury his deepest idea about us where only the most careful eye would ever find it...

The Guardian says a study shows Greenland is losing 30 million tons of ice per hour. Sounds terrifying until you add scale. If, for argument's sake, we accept the questionable headline rate, that works out to roughly 263 gigatons lost per year. But Greenland holds 2.8 million gigatons, meaning total loss would take over 10,000 years. And the study itself adds important context. Much of its newly counted loss comes from glacier retreat in fjords where ice was already below the sea, so it does not raise sea levels in the way the headline implies. This is how climate fear works: Huge number. No denominator. No time scale. Just blind panic.

A Model Y driver started experiencing a medical emergency with chest pain mid-drive & called his son. His son then remotely rerouted the car – which had FSD Supervised enabled – to the nearest hospital & let them know the vehicle was en route. ER staff were standing by on arrival. Doctors later confirmed the quick reroute likely saved his life.
