The RUBATO soundtrack really is one of the most notable must-listen video game soundtracks released in the past like half-decade, its been months since my blind playthrough and I'm still just as obsessed with the music today...
I turn 22 years old today.... that's almost the amount of time that's passed since DeltaRune Chapter 1's release.... (No need to fact check that by looking up when it released)
I hope everyone's enjoying Undertale's 11th anniversary today ๐, ironically I had no idea Toby even made a post about it until just now because I was also sleeping in... Perhaps I'll somehow break the cycle after just eleven more minutes...
I've been thinking about this and I'm leaning towards Yuki Kato being the one who made the World Beyond Green Greens remix... It reminds me of Fallen-Star Beach production wise (Notably the percussion) and I feel like the bass would probably be more active if it was really Ando
I've been wondering whether or not Hirokazu Ando is gonna finally step down from making Kirby music after working on the series for so long and TBH I'm still wondering that, the Green Greens remix in World Beyond's trailer sounded like Ando to me
Dude wtf do you mean the Falcom Music Channel was taken down recently โน๏ธ I haven't been paying too much attention online lately and just found out the hard way right now
I would love it if YouTuber game music trivia shows brought attention to the actual composers behind the music... There's some cool facts like how World Bowser (3D World), Malo Mart (Twilight Princess), and the GameCube startup jingle are all from the same person (Toru Minegishi)
I had a family member walk in my room while I was playing Chapter 5 Weird Route blind and for some reason the fear of potentially having to explain wtf I was doing to a non-gamer, as if I was the IRL Berdly, was more potent than anything in-game
I understand why Toby specified Chapter 7 and 7B are releasing simultaneously if 7B is as big as it seems, but the idea of Toby dropping 7 only to realize "fuck. oh fuck i. i didn't actually finish the game yet,..,,,,.." and releasing 7B like 2 days after is killing me
I felt so disrespectful reading the newsletter because I tried to focus on the new Weird Route stuff but at one point the letter said "Chapter *6 & 7*" and now there's an intense Dragon Ball-esque fight in my head between the mental representations of Weird Route and 67
The AREA 5 theme from Rubato is highkey one of the coolest songs I've heard in general lately, not even just limited to video games... It has cool synths, cool ambience, cool percussion, and is generally full of detail
Whenever songs share relative keys/similar progressions/identical melodies I can usually distinguish between them easily in my head, but some reason I struggle to tell apart Flower Man and Need a hand?! in my head occasionally and I have no clue why this is the exception
I watched Moral Orel quite some time ago, very very extremely good show that I enjoyed a lot but also Wow I didn't think it would be the most distressing piece of media I'd ever experience
