The spelling, spacing, and formatting errors throughout this letter are embarrassing and fall well short of the professional standards expected of an organization representing approximately 160,000 members. This is a formal communication to members of Congress, advocating for an entire industry and the livelihoods of working performers and crew. It should reflect the professionalism, attention to detail, and respect that our membership deserves. When basic proofreading and document quality appear to have been overlooked in such an important piece of correspondence, it raises legitimate questions about the organization’s capabilities to represent us. Our members deserve better, and the union’s public communications should reflect the talent, dedication, and professionalism of the people it represents. #SAGAFTRA #sagaftramembers

Nice effort on a speech Sean: our members’ experiences should reach the people they elect. But listening is only the first step: leadership must be measured by results. When working performers struggle to find jobs, lose their health insurance, and wonder whether they can afford to remain in the union, solidarity must mean more than speeches and expressions of concern. We need real solutions, including exploring a more flexible health plan that keeps members and their families covered, greater transparency in decisions affecting our benefits, and a clear plan to address declining employment opportunities. Our members have sacrificed too much to be told simply that leadership understands their frustration. The question is no longer whether leadership hears us. It’s what leadership is prepared to do about it. We deserve better. thewrap.com/industry-news/la… #SAGAFTRA #SAGAFTRAMembers

The SAG-AFTRA National Board voted to take no action to stop a dues increase then had a meeting and gave Duncan a raise... now if you criticize them they act like you're the problem... I'm happy being the problem because #SAGAFTRAmembers deserve better representation #SAGAFTRA

#Katie_Campione #KatieCampione of #Deadline @DEADLINE is controlled opposition… she doesn’t want to report the actual problems with #SAGAFTRA she just needs content for clicks. It’s unfortunate. She’s more traitor than trade mag writer.

Imagine if @katie_campione put this type of urgency on actually reading @SeanAstin ‘s book…

We’ve been pointing out the problems, and begging for your help for MANY election cycles. You refused to print any critical of SAG-AFTRA. Now you want to be on the beat? Are their checks not cashing?

I support #onejobaway however if the #sagaftra Union insurance wasn’t a Ponzi Scheme that relied on breakage every member could have their own bank for healthcare via a flex plan.

Neural networks have officially surpassed doctors in diagnosing diseases. Microsoft’s AI demonstrated 83% accuracy in diagnosing complex medical cases, compared to 36% for doctors, and 80% accuracy in diagnosing typical cases, compared to 47%. The system independently interviews patients, orders tests, and verifies diagnoses, while reducing the cost of medical examinations.

SAG-AFTRA WHISTLEBLOWERS: I just confronted SAG-AFTRA’s National Executive Director, Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, about his $1.1 million in compensation and allegations involving unreturned production security deposits. He told me I should schedule an interview. But will that interview ever actually happen? When I raised his $1.1 million compensation, he deflected. I then attempted to question him about producers who have reportedly been waiting months, and in some cases over a year, to recover their security deposits. One of those productions is The Sunshine Project out of New Mexico, which hired SAG-AFTRA actor James Franco. According to the production, everyone was paid more than a year ago, yet the producers still cannot recover their security deposit from the union. Where is that money? Why hasn’t it been returned? And what is SAG-AFTRA doing with the millions of dollars producers are required to deposit? My investigation continues, and I intend to bring these findings to Capitol Hill in November.

10/25/26 – SAG-AFTRA is holding a board meeting in Los Angeles this weekend, Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, October 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. As an independent journalist unaffiliated with the union, I have been unable to get SAG-AFTRA leadership to answer my questions. However, as dues-paying union members, you may have better luck demanding answers and accountability from your leadership.

Labeled a Liar in Recent Polls, Healey’s Past Precedes Her New Reputation What else is she hiding? How many more scandals before people see she is not to be trusted? While Healey proudly plays for the other side, her “inside baseball” may well be rife with personal and political peril as the press throws soft balls. What “lies” between the blurred lines of this story? Let’s see if we can get this straight. – Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey spent roughly a dozen years in a relationship with Appeals Court Judge Gabrielle Wolohojian while serving as attorney general; the relationship ended at some point in 2019. – “Queen” Healey, who evidently identifies as a “King,”later flagrantly nominated Wolohojian to the state’s highest court, prompting cries of conflict of interest, favoritism, and even nepotism—raising questions whether or not elevating a long-term former romantic partner to the Supreme Judicial Court was appropriate. – Supposedly a “few months” after chief deputy Joanna Lydgate left the AG’s office in summer 2020, where they worked together, Healey “began” a relationship with the younger woman—or had it already been established as a government “office romance?” – Their relationship supposedly began AFTER years of the two working closely together for a decade at the AG’s office, overlapping with the period Healey was in a long-term relationship with Wolohojian. – Lydgate was married with two young children (now 15 and 12) during their time working together; somewhere along the line, her marriage was wrecked, and she and her husband parted. – The public didn’t learn that Healey’s former co-worker was her new partner until she was already governor. – Healey kept the relationship secret until January 2023—four days after she was inaugurated as governor. (They have remained long-term partners, but are not legally married, despite Lydgate referred to as “First Partner” to “King” Healey.) So from what’s been reported, Healey ended a relationship of a dozen years and “began” a “new” one with the younger Lydgate shortly thereafter. Coincidence? I think not. Imagine what has not been reported. Imagine what the press would have done with this story if she were a man. Healey clearly did not get the equal press coverage she deserves compared to that of stories about men with similar questionable circumstances.
