What Was Missing in #Jailer2? 1. The Varman Effect 🥶 Of course, #Jailer2 had many villains, but none could match the impact of Varman from Part 1. His raw look, rustic style and natural mannerisms were loved by the audience. #Suraj did a good job, but his character didn’t have enough screen presence throughout the film to create the same impact as Varman. 2. Cameos Goosebumps 🔥 In #Jailer, all the cameos were placed naturally and worked well with the story. Especially the unexpected entries in the climax gave us massive goosebumps! But in #Jailer2, the cameos felt more planned and predictable. Maybe some portions were trimmed due to the runtime. Let’s wait and see if the OTT version has more surprises! 👀 3. High-Octane Climax 💥 The climax of #Jailer was a proper theatrical experience. Those three dragon-themed moments came out of nowhere, nobody expected them, and they made the climax even more exciting. What worked better in #Jailer2 compared to #Jailer: Comedy: The comedy portions worked significantly better in the sequel. Unlike the first part, where certain comedy sequences were criticised for acting as speed breakers, the humour in #Jailer2 blended much better with the film’s narrative. Music & Album Integration: The overall album of #Jailer2 complemented the film’s flow beautifully. While Putappu Gang, Veramaari & Bindaas received mixed reactions when released - after the film’s release, all the songs were integrated well with the montages and translated effectively on the big screen. Second Half: #Jailer2’s second half moved at a jet pace, keeping the momentum intact. In comparison, a few portions of #Jailer’s second half received mixed reviews for their pacing and execution. Sometimes, a sequel doesn’t need to reinvent the formula. It just needs to understand what worked, identify what didn’t and get the corrections right. #Jailer2 seems to have done exactly that. 🔥
